Mazda Bongo. Tin top version (I never needed a roof bedroom as well).

Absolutely fantastic passion wagon with electric blinds in the back and all the seats, including the front ones can fold flat and mate with another row to form whatever bed configuration you fancy.

Best of all, it's a true Right Hand Drive designed vehicle from birth and not a bodged for Britain European offering.

I'd drive one for ever if it was practical to do so.

"

Unfortunately they are not liked by by the Mayor of London (well they are really because he can screw money ot of them).

The other sad thing is you would think that since Brexit it would be much easier to import second hand Japanese vehicles in the way Commonwealth RHD countries do, but that is not really happening. The European car giants are still calling our tune and most of our population bend over backwards worshipping them. Ironic, now we are technically free to buy from where we please.

I still have the Mazda but am now using a similar Honda wagon which is a foot longer externally and with a foot less interior accommodation. Still a pleasure to use, though. I started down this trail with a Toyota Space Cruiser which served me well and was reliable and useful. All I wanted. I can see why people love their old Land Rovers and try to keep them going forever.

As time goes by, everything gets more stylised and less practical. Shame.

I can quite categorically tell you it's neither the Citroën C3 that I've been loaned while my own car is being repaired. And as Vauxhall have thus far taken 8 months to still not manage to manufacture the right part to repair my Corsa that is not my favourite car either.

So I'll be reading this thread with interest for inspiration, ready for when I'm able to offload the pile of crap and replace it!

Reliant superman 3 . Nothing super about it. In fact. It had 1 less wheel than most have . But , until you've driven one flat out at 85mph on a windy dual carriageway..you haven't experienced fear
