Should be a good day.
Boy child is visiting for a few days, haven't seen him since September last year what with his work and mine.
We're out for dinner with his 2 besties from up here. Good times.
New front door being fitted tomorrow too so hopefully this one won't blow a gale!
Yes I'm a little disappointed that the gig I've been waiting 20 years to go to has been postponed, but nothing can beat time with my son.
What are you looking forward to? |

I had a good day on Sunday that I'd been looking forward too. Took the grandchildren to Warwick castle for stories with santa. My grandson is seven and totally believes in him. My granddaughter is a bit young but loved the lights. Then we all put my sons tree up.It was a great day.
Enjoy your time with your son I'm sure it will be great |

That sounds proper lush.
Thank you, it'll be great just to see him. His girlfriend is staying behind this time too so we'll be able to have proper convos. |

Have a great time tomorrow!
I'm looking forward to watching my son's christmas production at school tomorrow. We didn't get to see his nativity last year due to covid so this play tomorrow will be special. |

It's one day closer to wine day, though I may have had wine most days lately, but still.
I get a whole 45mins to myself after work tomorrow, I intend spending it browsing the aisles of Morrisons (other supermarkets are available).

"I'm hoping whatever vile bug I've been suffering with today has gone by tomorrow and I can do more than spend the day in bed or cuddling the toilet "
My niece had something that sounds similar and lasted around 24 hours so hopefully it's the same for you. |

This is not something I am looking forward to but is a significant event that I kind of want to get through for various reasons.... my dad's funeral on Friday.

So much of it going around. Day 1-2 exploding, day 2-3 resting, day 3-4 saying "motherfucker" every time you move coz you've pulled your tummy and back from all the heaving |

"I don't know you, and I'm never going to see your front door... but a new front door is a surprisingly exciting thing.
"
It'll let in more light which is great coz my place has small windows and always appears dark n dreary. On the flip side, people will be able to see me trying to hide from them when they knock my door. No more nipping up the stairs in the buff. Also, this one should stay shut, unlike my current one which decides at times it doesn't like being closed. The amount of times I've thought "fucking hell it's draughty" and the fucker is wide open.
The only real thing I'm concerned about is damage to the carpet or walls when they fit it and whether it will fit properly coz my house is proper wonky |

Hope you have a fab time with your son OP
I’m really enjoying doing lots of Christmassy things with my niece - she sang her first nativity songs for me the other day (cue floods of tears) and I’m looking forward to taking her to Disney on Ice on Saturday. Then on Sunday I have a nice little trip to Edinburgh planned ![](/icons/s/3/xmastree.gif) |

I love it when people have good bonds with their nieces and nephews. It's wholesome and gives them another trusted adult in their lives. Lush |

Aw this is lovely, hope you have a ball !
Not much happening for me the next couple of days - work, housework then repeat. Friday is my annual Xmas wrapping night though and it's sad how much I'm looking forward to it . Empty house, Xmas tunes, nice snacks and wine then get stuck in. |

I used to LOVE Xmas wrapping. Honestly it used to give me all the feels. Not sad at all to look forward to! That's one of the things I actually do miss about the whole festive bollocks (no chip pissing intended, just envy projection!) |

I don't have an inspirational answer such as yours. I'm just looking forward to winding down from the monotony of work that causes endless procrastination, and just relaxing for Christmas and the New Year.
My birthday falls immediately after the new year and so I always take an extended break into the second week of January.
I hope you have a memorable time with your son and treasure every heartfelt moment. |

Hello Princess Peach, x
I hope you have a truly wonderful time with your son and the front door provides much warmth to your home.
Things I'm looking forward to? A date at the weekend. Seeing a friend the following day (fingers crossed). Christmas decorating. Lots of little traditions. Going to the gym. Christmas itself. A date with the manfriend after.
I'm a rather festive easily excited soul generally and love this time of year. |

Relaxing is good. Not enough people take time for themselves and it's to their detriment.
I can almost smell the scented candles and hear the sigh of relief. |

You know Meli, one thing him and I do an awful lot is laugh when we're together. I miss that terribly and treasure it immensely when we get together.
He's incredibly funny and catches me off guard with his wit.
One thing he does which is terrifying yet hilarious is hide behind a door and when I walk through it he legs me over and catches me before I hit the floor, so I'm ha gong suspended, in hysterics, trying desperately not to piss myself from the initial shock and then laughter. I fucking love it!
I hope you have a "cracker" of a festive season, filled with moments that will become memories you'll look back on with fondness. ![](/icons/s/2/heart.gif) |

You can hear how much love you have for your son. The pride and joy in which you speak about him.
Memories are such beautiful things aren't they? I think that I've moved away from wanting things. All I really want is time and attention from people. To be able to show people I care.
I hope you have all the kegel testing laughs with your son, he's lucky to have you as his mum. ![](/icons/s/2/heart.gif) |

Awwwww, I hope you have a lovely time with your son. Its so nice when they turn into adults and you can have proper chats. I'm taking mine to Bicester Village on Friday for a bit of Christmas shopping. Just me and him, happens so rarely I'm really looking forward to it. He said he'll buy me lunch
Front doors....omg....love a new front door. I had mine done a few months ago, and love it so much! It's slate grey with 3 squares centrally downwards with full length glass either side. Adds so much kerb appeal, and no more draughts x |
