Have you ever booked a holiday with someone that has fallen through?
Then thought Fuck It I am going alone or have you canceled it?
I am off alone in January to Portugal
Her name is still on the holiday, do i delete it or just leave it and go alone? |

"Just Google to find someone with the same name then ask if they'd like to go halves. "
Or find someone that wants to go and get them to change their name by deed poll to the one on the ticket.

Not exactly the same. But following the end of an 11 year relationship last year I spent three months in Europe on my own mostly. 6 weeks hiking and camping the North Coast of Spain.
Not the same but was my first holiday big trip on my own and bloody loved it. So if someone's cancelled on you it's their loss and you should defo Still go!!! Is her ticket transferable? I'm about lol

About 12 yrs ago I booked a family holiday, fully paid, and then me and my partner split up.
As the booking was in my name, I took the kids on my own and paid a change of name so someone else cane with me.
I now travel mainly on my own, as easier |

I'm going to tenerife in 8 days for a similar reason. My father booked for him and his fiance to have (another) holiday but, she can't get time off work so he's invited me along instead. Is there not a family member in friend who could take their place?
If not... I like Portugal haha. |

Oh god yes, a friend was getting married in Finland on New Year's Eve and I was meant to go with my then partner, but we separated about a month before the trip. At the last minute I decided to go all the same, a week in a romantic log cabin on a frozen lake, how sublime.
Managed to get myself locked out, naked with just my walking boots and a hat on, it was a very fraught hour or so whilst I tried to work out what to do. I ended up biting the bullet and walking to the neighbours about 4 miles away and asking if they had a spare key. To which I was told, there was one under the door mat to my cabin. We all had a good laugh and I'm still in touch with the neighbours in Finland all these years later haha.
The wedding part of the trip was hard though. |

It is morally and ethically wrong to enjoy villa Joya alone you know. It's far more pleasurable to share the enjoyment of fine dining with others who appreciate the food.
Now where did I put my cheese and crisp sandwich. |

It’s lovely there. There’s so many lovely places to be fair. Depends on what you’re looking for. |
