The scene that really sticks in my mind is when he handcuffs the boy under the guise of a magic trick and even though he knows there are cops outside, he absolutely struggles to contain his murderous urge. Absolutely chilling.

True, but the recent portrayals in Rogue One and Uni Wan Kenobi have lifted the character higher in my view.

In OBK we see a truly brutal Vader (especially in the scene in the villafe), topped off by the epic lightsaber battle at the end and Vaders comment "you didn't kill Anakin Skywalker...I did."
