Let's pick the ultimate 80s pop song

Nominate just 1 and maybe a brief sentence or 2 to justify your pick?

I'll start...

Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

That driving beat and who hasn't tried to moonwalk?

So what, now I've got to think up a MORE 80s song than Billie Jean by MJ? That's what you're asking me to do? Dude, such a song doesn't exist. Billie Jean is it, end of x

For us its Forever Young from Alphaville in 88, and Belfast Child from Simple Minds in 89, so many memories from that decade for us, pulled some stunts back then aswell, and thinking back now, we do wonder how the **** we are still here today lol.....loads of other great tunes from the 80's, but those two are our kings of tracks!

And Erasure were up there with the 80's top artists, also Depeche Mode turned out some good tracks, Personal Jesus being our favourite, and.....what about the one hit wonders like the cheesiest track ever from Glen Mederos, the one, the only one, where he's walking along that sun kissed Caribbean beach (its probably Brighton beach) pining for the love of his life.....check out those pants in the video.....the track was tacky and cheesy, but somehow, it sticks in your head for some crazy reason!!
