Pretty much most of jazz but fave probably Giant Steps by John Coltrane recorded in 1959. Sax playing is mind blowing and great live watching more mortal players just about getting through. Nicknamed "the most feared track in jazz"
Not even sure where to start with big band jazz. So many absolute bangers. Incidentally Whiplash a great film on that topic if you haven't seen with Whiplash and Caravan featuring. |
