Milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I'm talking about confectionery, you filthy lot!

Milk, white or dark chocolate. Which is best and why? Do fillings (nuts, raisins, caramel, etc.) add to or detract from the experience?

Dark with 85% cocoa solids is healthy. I don't have fruit n nut anymore was it was too moreish!

Milk chocolate is my preferred choice, don't mind white chocolate but dark is too bitter for me

Cadbury's dairy milk is my go to

For a plain old chocky bar it's galaxy, when I just want a nibble then a good dark, but if I want things in it then it's got to be Cadbury.

Milk or dark chocolate. White chocolate is ok but doesn't feel like I'm eating chocolate

Marble bars were epic. You didn’t have to make these kinds of choices…

I’m not good with choices

I used to be a big fan of white chocolate, but also partial to milk …….

… however, whilst any kind of chocolate isn’t really very good for you health wise, a few years ago I was advised if I was going to eat chocolate, to minimise it, but that dark chocolate was a better option … I wasn’t really a dark chocolate fan. However on the odd occasion I do east chocolate now I eat dark, and actually prefer it now to the others … I love dark toblerone as my fave … but aloo the dark orange and almond from Aldi.

My 1st preference when picking a bar of chocolate is to go for white, however dark chocolate with chilli to accompany a bottle of red wine is fabulous too

Milk chocolate with stuff in it. Fruit and nut is good, but had some recently with bits of daim in it which was lovely.

Chocolate on its own is unappealing to me. It needs something in it to make it moreish

A place where others reside (nr Oxford)

Dark chocolate is best because Debs and the kids don't like it so Charlie gets to eat all of it

White for Debs but does depend on the chocolate in question.

Milky Bar and a cup of tea, cram it in, sip a hot brew and wait for it to melt. Yes I’m that weird.

None of that nibble it nonsense, “Get in ma’ bellah!”
