TV shows that should have come back for more?

Newport

I do enjoy a good tv show, and get dismayed when what I think is a decent show gets cancelled.

Two of my sci-fi’ish faves were firefly and space: above and beyond.

What are yours?

Firefly was particularly good, but also I like that it never got to die on it's arse in series 9....

Anyone remember the Friday night/Saturday night Armistice with Armando Iannuci? Loved that, I think it had just 2 series...

Always leave ‘em wanting more…

Eventually they always end up jumping the shark. Sometimes it’s best to go on high!

The UK Office a prime example

Firefly IS the obvious one

Lie to me

Travelers

Timeless (which yes came back for a brief “wrap up” but was still done a disservice)

Flashforward

Studio 60 on the sunset strip

Pushing daisies

There’s way too many actually very annoying when they’re cancelled without a proper finale

I used to like the tongue in cheek game show called ‘balls of steel’ on C4.

Anyone remember that?

It was not very PC but I thought it was funny.

Studio 60! Always great for a rewatch. If anyone is a Sorkin fan (West Wing, The Newsroom) Studio 60 is an awesome watch.

Do love Lee Pace in pushing daises too!

The ones I want the actors are too old or died and just can't be replaced by other people. Like

Only fools and horses

On the buses

Steptoe and son

Men behaving badly could work

Indeed. Never found out if Avon actually got killed or not.

Paul Darrow, who played Avon had visions of rebooting the series.
