I like gloves. I have a predilection for gloves. I love the enveloping and 'inspirited' feel when wearing gloves on a Champagne-crisp chilly day. Fingerless gloves, technical gloves, jogging gloves, driving gloves, short gloves and generously long and sexy evening gloves that exude self-indulgence with toasty satisfaction.

This is a thread about gloves. A broad spectrum of gloves take pride of place in my glove drawer. Join me and pay homage to gloves. More so now as the autumnal nights draw in and we crave for that warm and luxuriant fabric around our palms and digits.

This is not a condom thread. Let's separate the crass from the class.

This gentleman loves gloves.

Who put the "love" in glove?

Did I ever parley about gloves?

I have now.

Top tip: just use "Twééd".

If you wear gardening gloves then you wear gloves. Period.

Do you have a perennial runny nose?

They're on my ski gloves. A super soft bit you can wipe a runny nose with (ok, or your goggles...) without removing your glove.

Cycling copies skiing, running and rowing. We too had snot pads on out mitts.

I too have a nasal waterfall, caused by dust, exercise and cold temperatures. Pollen? Not a problem.

Dear ex-husband.

Apologies for slacking, it's really rather awful isn't it?

So gloves. Love them. I have a slight predilection for men in driving gloves. Soft leather.

I have several pairs of gloves. Dove grey cashmere. Cheap ones that I can type with and still keep my fingers toasty.

My absolute favourite are butter soft dark brown leather purchased in Italy with an ex. I still have them, almost a decade later.

I think I prefer scarves to gloves though. Esp collegiate scarves from St John's wrapped around a beautifully coiffed man.

Hopefully this has brought a smile to your face.

Your ex-wife.
