I gave it a blast when I got in from work.

You should always test it before it gets too winter time.

Once your in it and your system fails to work you can and will be sat in the cold.

Wood burner went on at the weekend and has been on every evening.

I brought a new portable gas heater yesterday, haven't needed to switch it on yet. Just trying to get delay switching the central heating on for as long as possible.

I will check it’s all working ok today by cracking it up a whole 0.5 degrees above what ever the temp is but then to be honest it’s just not cold enough to have it in really.

Part of the reason people feel the cold so quick is cause they just don’t bother trying to put up with it. When I was a kid old people did not use heating lol

They are brilliant and heat the room a bit too, Some of them can be very expensive to run though probably more than the heating so worth doing a bit of research.

using a wall greenhouse cover is ample enough over a radiator to create the old airing cupboard

or used with an electric heater

no one ever fits a small rad into the old airing cupboard to help dry clothes

Put mine on for a couple hours in the evening, constant cold temperatures are not good for arthritic bodies

Yes, quite lucky really as ours comes on at least three times a day. I'm not in charge of it but I'm certainly not complaining.

It’s been on for half an hour to take the edge off the nip, and to assist some laundry airing.

Other than that, it’s staying off when it’s costing a quid an hour to run.
