Just me and my 4 yr old - while I wouldn't mind having some company I'd rather have some of my own choosing rather than suffer through any of the family get togethers!

i may do some volunteering if my mentor is working that day, it will only be a couple of hours, not much to sacrifice on christmas day really.

if not then it will be a family occasion revolving round my niece and nephew

Off to my dearest Maters for Xmas dindins, then off to work on nights. Xmas day is a bit of an anti-climax after the build up (which I love) so working it is no big deal. The big ball ache is working over New Year. Boooo!

Xmas day with the wrinklies this year - first year for a looooong time I have been single, and not looking forward to it. Love my parents dearly, but have absolutely nothing in common with them. It's gonna be a nightmare tbh!

YAY! Peace and goodwill to all!

Just watch the alcofrol intake cos old issues can bubble up to the surface when strong liquor is taken

Better to be sober and friendly and know your boy has had the best of both of you and then let loose later

Xmas Day I'm working. Serving 400 Christmas dinners to those who don't want to cook at home.

Including a party of 30 some of whom are together for the first time in 20 years!! Will be an emotional day.

Then after work, home to my second family, where I have a dinner of salt beef awaiting!!!

Very much looking forward this year to it being just the two of us.

We'll get up and toast the day with a Kir Royale (the first of many) and eat smoked salmon & cream cheese bagels. I'll pop the turkey in the oven then we'll open some presents and drink more fizz.

Then i'll wobble round the kitchen with more fizz, cooking dinner which by this point probably won't be ready until 4pm but we won't care.

Then we'll skype the family and settle down to watch some Christmas telly and get (even more) d*unk.

Can't wait.

Spending Christmas day with mum and sister. Stockings first, followed by a light breakfast of croissants with black cherry jam, then, grand opening of presents, phone calls to rest of family and about 12.30, a traditional Christmas dinner, cooked by yours truly and a lush lemon meringue roulade for pudding. Chill out afternoon watching telly/having a snooze, although I may need to go for a walk so I can have a couple of cigs About 6.30 sandwiches and trifle then home to my flat, cats and the Downton Abbey Christmas special, a few drinks, unlimited cigs.....bliss. It will be a lovely day - the only downside is Rainman will be up in Scotland with his family, but he'll be home Boxing Day evening.....so will still have something special to look forward to when I go to bed on Christmas night
