Yes!, and I don’t like them in cardboard boxes either. May be posh, but wasteful of cardboard and energy

We had a chippy close by that you could feed 3 adults from their normal portion of chips. It was awesome.

When having tea for two it’s gotta be 2 regular cod and one large chips to share.

Oh and throw in a pickled gherkin too!

No such thing as too big a portion when it comes to Fish & Chips in my book. Need my weekly fix of a chippy tea on a Saturday after the football and usually a Chinese on a Monday.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I like everything but the chips at the chip shop. One near to me used to do battered mushrooms and they were lovely

I've started getting the pensioner fish and chips! I'm only a year of being one! I just can't eat big meals since I started a new medication x

East London

Always too big.

I can never eat a whole portion of chips even if I just have a chip roll.

I usually leave a lot of the fish batter and over half the chips if I get cod and chips.

I used to get a large portion for all my family but it's just me now.

Around these parts you could feed half the street with a portion of chips.

Somewhere In The Ether…

My local chippy is extremely generous with its portions. Even ordering a ‘small’ will result in lugging home what feels like a heavy suitcase.

I actually have a funny story about when my family first moved up north from London and were used to London chippies where it was a portion per person. At the end of moving day, my dad goes down the road to the chippy on the corner and orders 4 portions of chips and various other bits only to be shocked to be handed two bulging carrier bags when his order was ready. People asked how he didn't notice by the price but again, he was used to London chippies .

On a mooch

No matter where I go I find them too big, not something I have when on my own.

I will split a fish supper with my lad, we manage all the fish but we never finish the chips between us

There's a chippy near me that gives you enough to feed a family of 5 for about a week
