"I find large chips often far too much to get through"
Yes!, and I don’t like them in cardboard boxes either. May be posh, but wasteful of cardboard and energy |

"When having tea for two it’s gotta be 2 regular cod and one large chips to share.
Oh and throw in a pickled gherkin too!
Nailed it!"
And mushy peas right? |

"Are yours too big, too small, or just right?
Too flipping expensive... 4 quid... Can't remember the last time I had chips from a chippy. "
£4 that’s cheap lol I paid £14.50 for one cod and chips with mushy peas and a child’s sausage chips and curry sauce a few days ago |

No such thing as too big a portion when it comes to Fish & Chips in my book. Need my weekly fix of a chippy tea on a Saturday after the football and usually a Chinese on a Monday. |

Always too big.
I can never eat a whole portion of chips even if I just have a chip roll.
I usually leave a lot of the fish batter and over half the chips if I get cod and chips.
I used to get a large portion for all my family but it's just me now. |

I actually have a funny story about when my family first moved up north from London and were used to London chippies where it was a portion per person. At the end of moving day, my dad goes down the road to the chippy on the corner and orders 4 portions of chips and various other bits only to be shocked to be handed two bulging carrier bags when his order was ready. People asked how he didn't notice by the price but again, he was used to London chippies . |
