Does coffee make you poo?
I thought it happened to everyone but apparently it's only 29% of people. Are you one of those 29% of people who has a sip of coffee and then has to go to the loo for a number 2?
I thought it was the caffeine but it happens to people drinking decaffeinated coffee too.

"Definitely glad to not be a part of that 29%
Caffeine is life "
It's handy before a race. Get up early, drink coffee, have a clear out, feel lighter when I run. |

Not so handy if it decides to make a second visit mid race though |

It can. As I've got older, I've limited myself to one caffeine based drink a day, the rest of the time it's decaf. A friend who has IBS admits that more than one coffee wipes him out.
You might want to talk to your Doctor and see if there's anything you should be aware of. |

I’m not sure if I’ve ever experienced the correlation myself between drinking coffee and requiring a subsequent bowel evacuation but have indeed heard of others reporting it.
I’ve literally just had a cup of coffee though so will keep you posted on my poo progress |

Yep, it happens to me. If I ever took the major life decision to give up coffee (as if!) I'd probably have to stock up on movicol to keep things regular and healthy. |

"Update: Nah, it ain’t shifted it.
I’ll go and do some sit ups; that usually forces it down the old outlet pipe "
And your outlet pipe is particularly attractive xx |

I always thought that was messing about with it or in it or eating it as opposed to getting off on actually passing it but I have never checked tbh |

It does affect me with the brown rain but I have IBS so caffeine aggravates my innards. I could never give coffee up though so I just pop an immodium every so often and jobs a goodun’ |
