Would you open it? Remember, once you know /see something you cannot unsee /unknown it
It could be any aspect of life / home /work
.. Would you rather live blissfully unaware forever (maybe with a needling sensation at the edges) .... or know the truth which leads to blowing up everything you thought was real
Have you done it? |

"As long as there's still hope at the bottom.
I don't think hope is included in the package "
A message of inspiration from your friends at Yoplait. Fruit on the bottom, hope on top!
Any excuse to slip a bit of Mitch in.
Ignorance is bliss sometimes, and our impressions of people can be based on the filtered best parts of them, avoiding all the unpleasantness.
When faced with the cold hard reality, that can be trickier, requiring that deeper connection to bridge the inevitable frailties of character.

That's just life. No certainties, no guarantees. Making decisions based on what's available, managing the risk, planning for contingencies and hoping it'll turn out for the best.

Yes very much this Falafel.
Hope is an essential part of Pandora's box anyway. I'd like to think I wouldn't open it but I have such curiosity about the world I'd probably give in. Maybe not actually. I respect people a lot and if they want to tell me something, I want that to be their choice. Freewill. Not take the decision to know from them. |

One of the ways that the myth is interpreted, is that if hope was let out of the box along with all the evils, there be nowhere for hope to reside for humans |

Ahhh that's interesting, I never read about that interpretation as I always thought the box was meant to keep everything in and as a result of hope still being locked in, it's the reason for the despair of humanity |

Open as I'd rather know the whole truth. How can you navigate life if you don't know where you are truly starting from?
Yes I've been there, I've seen what I believe is my truth and it hurt in the past but I don't regret any of my life experiences because they have made me who I am and I quite like me. |

"Who’s box are we trying to get into?
Some woman called Pandora. Apparently it might be the last thing you ever do!..
I double dare you
Hold my hand, we can dive in together..
We might get sucked in forever
You say that like it's a bad thing?..
Who is doing the sucking?
All options can be explored.."

"Pretty sure it didn't work out well for Pandora when she opened the box.
It didn't work out for me either
Well, that's a shame."

'Tis indeed, I think there's a lesson to be learned from the story of Pandoras Box |

"Definitely keep closed. Harsh truths find us soon enough, no need to seek them out. Blissful illusions have a lot going for them. "
Ahh where were you with your sage advice a week ago |

"Open as I'd rather know the whole truth. How can you navigate life if you don't know where you are truly starting from?
Yes I've been there, I've seen what I believe is my truth and it hurt in the past but I don't regret any of my life experiences because they have made me who I am and I quite like me.
I love this (i also love your profile +pics ) "
Why thank you your profile isn't too shabby either |

I can distinctly remember the time I sat and seriously considered whether I should lift the lid... I did, and oh boy, was it so much more than I ever could have imagined!
That lid is never going back on!

"..what if you opened the box and found Schodingers cat...both dead and alive at the same time "
But you wouldn't see it dead and alive. The act of opening the box would collapse the multiple states to a single state. |

There's a 50/50 chance you'll need it. |

"Open.
I am too much of a control freak to not know.
Me too!
What if you thought it was open, but it had a false bottom?
Wouldn’t happen.
I’s have inspected the box prior to opening, and once opened would then be rooting around in it to try and “understand” it and make sure I hadn’t missed anything.
I think that is maybe what i am doing.. Shaking it empty "
At least you then “know” where you are.
Some times the only way we progress is to tear everything down and start again.
I don’t want any surprises from my “empty” box.
