Best Action Film ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
So many to list that I couldn’t narrow it down to a mere one, but in no particular order: Any of the Rambo series, Con Air, The Rock, John Wick, Die Hard, Commando, Bad Boys 1&2, Nobody, Taken….. |

To Have and Have Not.
The scene where Lauren Bacall starts singing to Hoagy Carmichael’s piano and does her little hip wiggle !
Just to die for
“ you know how to whistle don’t you Harry? You just put your lips together and blow” |

Yeah , but it is an action film as well as a love story.
I mean people get shot. There’s smuggling, a boat chase, police interrogation, spy’s, espionage, pick pockets, booze, great music, deep sea fishing … I would say that is action!
Ok so it isn’t full of modern unrealistic grenades that blow while buildings apart. There are no chases round streets where cars blow up and fruit stalls get destroyed but!
When was the last time you really saw things like that happen outside of a movie? |

"The Rock I'd say"
John Mason : [while on the stairs leading to the prison morgue] Are you sure you're ready for this?
Stanley Goodspeed : I'll do my best.
John Mason : Your "best"! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.
Stanley Goodspeed : Carla *was* the prom queen.
John Mason : Really?
Stanley Goodspeed : [cocks his gun] Yeah. |

"Lethal Weapon
And it’s the best Christmas film as well….
Really
Got to be Die Hard and always in the top 5 of Christmas movies "
What other movie has General Mcallister barbecuing his nuts on Hollywood boulevard or Mr Joshua being wished Merry Christmas by the good guys…
Beats Die Hard any day….. at least into 2nd place……. |

Some people mentioned ‘The Raid’ as the best action film . Had never heard of it. Watched it last night.
It’s certainly a film that delivers the ‘WOW’ factor.
Looking forward to seeing the sequel now.
Definitely worth a watch if you like super intense expertly choreographed fight scenes. |

Watch RRR — or Rise, Roar, Revolt — a ludicrous three hour piece of anti-colonial historical fiction that showcases some of the best fight scenes, comedy, bromance and explosive musical numbers modern cinema has to offer. Puts the rubbish that Hollywood has to offer to shame. You'll find it on Netflix and torrents. |

When I was a kid, I remember watching Terminator, Predator, Speed, and Desperado, which looked awesome. Pretty sure there's a Bruce Lee film there. Every generation will have at least one film that captivates them |
