What is your recommendation for the best T.V. of the last few years ?
For us it The Detectorists which was on BBC2. A light hearted conwdy/drama. Superbly written and acted. So,what can you recommend ? |

In follow up... Best TV series of the last few years?
Watchmen
... as the TV series didn't conform to the shit ending of the film version (which was actually not bad until the last 20 minutes fuck up)

Detectorists is indeed wonderful. We have also really enjoyed Sex Education.
Our favourite thing of here and now is Only Murders in the Building on Disney+.
Also, check out Bluey on BBC and Disney+. It really is one of the best children's programmes ever, and I grew up on Bagpuss, which is some pretty tough competition. It's great for adults too. It is genuinely hilarious and immensely cute. So many great characters. Dear little Bingo is adorable! |

Before i opened the thread, I thought Detectorists, so happy to see so many others who loved it.
Fantastically subtle and funny, great cast and even those long lingering shots of fields with nothing more than the sound of nature are perfection- if you've not watched it, how many more recommendations do you need? |
