A man in Balrumpar which in is a place in India died from a poisonous snakebite.
His brother travelled to the location to pay his respects before the funeral but was bitten when he was asleep by a poisonous snake.. He died too.
These buggers are now biting people when they are asleep.
What's going on here guys ? |

"The ‘victim’ probably moved in their sleep, causing the snake to feel threatened. Boom! Snake gets it’s lick in first.
Bad luck on the sleeping person.
"

Most wild animals are 'on the loose' Tom.
I doubt these were domestic snakes.
If you don't want to get bitten by a snake don't go where there are lots of snakes.
Simples.

We do have a rattlesnake roundup every year. Big party a carnival. People go out and get the biggest rattlesnake they can to win prizes. No one died.
Google Noxen rattlesnake roundup |

So many people die from snakebites in India it's difficult to keep track.
Most of the deaths are in rural communities miles away from medical help.
If someone gets bit by a Russell's viper, cobra or krait they will probably pass away before sufficient help can be given.
I'm guessing this guy was possibly sleeping on the floor or a low laying bed.
The snakes hunt rats at night and could well have been after one when confronted by someone in the vicinity moving, enough to scare them and make them strike.
It's a horrible thing but fascinating. I've heard of a black mamba killing 5 family members in a hut in Africa before too. I hope the other family members of this guy stay safe now |

It's more prudent to accept the facts of the animals you live around and protect yourself accordingly. |

Nicole thinks that this sounds like victim blaming.
The snake should respect others and not be such an evil bugger! |
