Enzymes in bio laundry stuff are mainly proteases (break down proteins). They can also damage the proteins on your skin, especially if your upper layers of skin are already damaged (e.g eczema or any condition that damages the slight layer of sebum). Non bio uses different mechanisms to break down the bits of food and other crud on our clothes, rather than enzymes. |
