Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe |
A 1968 Triumph Herald 13/60.
I bought it in 1980 whilst I was still 16, and prepared it for my 17th birthday. It was 12 years old, one owner from new and had 30,000 on the clock. I soon blew the engine up, so shoved a Triumph Dolomite engine in it, which gave it a bit of poke! |

Due to being a naughty lad before i even past my test at 17 i struggled for insurance so my dad pulled in a favour and got me insured but i had no choice in the car. It was a Austin Princess automatic , terrible car like driving a boat and not exactly a bird puller but better than my pushbike |

"Nissan micra. I brought it because when sat in the drivers seat the steering wheel reminded me of the one in the car elvis drove in blue hawai "
Bless ya! That's a unusual reason but understandable have you seen the movie elvis in cinema??? |

Ford Fiesta mk3 1.8 diesel
Slow, no power steering, but freedom. Kinda miss it, would have been nice to have kept it and dropped a nice 2.0 zetec in, then crash and die really rather horribly. |

A 1995 Vauxhall Corsa with a terminal electrical issue. I became very adept at roll starting it off my parents' driveway, managing to steer around before going through the hedge opposite (no power steering). It had windy windows and I installed a 3-CD multi changer |

Red Corsa that lasted 2 months then got hit up the arse by my wife in her car who had been hit up the arse by some bloke changing a fucking CD. I tore the rotator cuff needed keyhole surgery, Mrs broke her wrist. Both cars written off |

I used to have a 1968 standard mini shape mini with the sliding windows that car was so much fun to drive until the gear lever can out in my hand changing gear |

A 1970 Vauxhall Viva HB, no it's not a pencil. In chocolate brown, 2dr.
I thought it looked like a Vauxhall Ventora which looked like a Chevy Impala but was 10 times smaller and 200 times slower.
Worked great after I got a recon engine, gear box, new brakes, shocks, seat covers and pirelli rads tyres which were worth more than the car.
One was for sale for £4000 on eBay. I nearly bought it. |

Renault Clio Mk3 1.2. Still driving it 7 years later. Not really inclined to get rid of it due to sentimental value. Plus it's a super simple car to fix by yourself...hardly cost me anything in maintenance and I've done the timing belt, water pump, electrics, brakes etc. by myself. Plan to run it until it truly dies but still going strong. |
