Hows people keeping cool today

I am sitting in the lotus position in a deep, self induced trance state, visualising a heavily snow covered forest at night, lit by a full moon as wolves howl in the distance.
…..nah….it’s not working either |

"In Eastern Scotland it's currently overcast and 21 degrees
26° in Stonehaven further up the coast"
He's clearly found a cold spot, it's 27 here! Let's hunt him down |

We have kept all the curtains and windows closed. Fans on in every room even if we are not using them in that moment to keep the rooms cool and that seems to be working.
Making sure the cat has plenty of water and doesn't go out till after 7 PM (she is not happy with this and keeps protesting) and have put wet towels on the bathroom floor for her lay on and she has a couple of times.
We are drinking plenty of fland staying indoors. It is 26.5 in our flat but doesn't feel it, feels fairly comfortable at the moment. |

"Curtains closed, windows closed, approximating a through breeze (only windows on one side) with kitchen exhaust fan and a fan. Wearing little, drinking lots."
I have found opening all the curtains and windows after 6 PM is quite good as we seem to get a bit of a breeze through. |

38° here.
Curtains drawn, fan on, feet in cool water.
Water fountain on as extra water for cats, damp towels down together with cool mats.
Sphynx has had a cool bath as has the tortoise who I've kept inside today. |

I did suggest to one of daughters who works from home who treated herself to a ac unit(she has to pay the extra on lecy bill I told her! ) that maybe I could lay inconspicuously on her bed if I promise not to lift my head up! It was a no lol! But I'm grateful she let's the dogs lay on her floor especially the spaniel as he's black and old ish! The lab pops her head up in background when she's on the bed lol! The cat alas is to stupid to go in there though x |

Yes. I did that two days ago. Yesterday I didn't because the drop in temperature didn't seem sufficient to justify it |

I did it yesterday and even though it wasn't as effective as the day before it's still helped. |

I have just brushed the cat with an ice Pole and she actually quite enjoyed it, I've also just put a pillar case in the fridge for her to lie on a bit later. |

"I’m not! 2 fans, just shorts and tip tops but still bloody boiling"
Make sure you are drinking plenty and also run your wrists under cold water as that really makes a very quick difference. |

Most windows shut, curtains and blinds closed, fans on, showers if it gets sticky.
Though we may have had two fans on while we were fucking in one room.

"Apparently, the kitchen extractor fan takes heat out of the home.
Yes, but takes money out of the bank too
I might put mine on and see if it works, and how much it costs.
"
The extractor fan has let me concentrate to keep the money coming in |

I've never invested in a fan so it's just curtains mostly closed... windows shut... interior doors open.
Clothes off.
Lots of herbal tea on the go. Does anyone else drink hot drinks in hot weather? |

They cost next to nothing to run. Most Extractor Fans pull a load of under 100 W, so cost the same as an old fashioned light bulb left on. Even a portable A/C unit is about the same as a microwave in the electricity used to run and costs to run about £2 a day to run, best 2 quid anyone would spend today.
Though the heat created by the motor in the Extractor, running constantly at High Speed, would probably offset the heat loss. |
