The Descent

Hellraiser

Scream

The Nightmare on Elm Street films

The Conjuring films aren't bad

Paranormal Activity is okayish

"The Shining

The House of the Devil"

The Shining, good shout I'm annoyed I forgot it.

Adding on that, Doctor Sleep is a great sequel

You might have seen all of these though! There's a really good one on Netflix which is based on "true events", Spanish, can't remember the name off the top of my head. Marianne? Maybe.

Recently I watched 1408 which was quite good. But I really liked Dr Sleep, its a sequel to the shining and in my opinion done very well, there's a certain scene which I won't give away in which a boy gets abducted after a baseball game that was really difficult to watch as he was about the same age as my son...but I thought it was a great film

"Night of the Demon. "

I’ll second this anytime anyone asks for recommendations for a good horror film, black and white classics are very rarely highlighted. But this a really creepy one. Also if you enjoy them also try

The Fly (1958).

The beast with five fingers (1946).

The House on Haunted Hill (1959) Vincent Price film.

Les Diaboliques (1955)

Ringu (I think that was the Japanese version of “The Ring” but equally it could be the Japanese version of “Pingu”

Event Horizon - Still makes me crap myself now

The Thing Not to be confused with “The Thing” (The prequel)

Alien and Aliens. I make no apologies. Love those.
