Last cinema visit…

Good folk; A nice simple question as the heat is likely addling your brains (it bloody well is mine at least!): What was the last film you watched in the cinema? And your rating out of ten for said film if you please |

"Jurassic - 3/10 at a push they’re flogging a dead horse now "
I really liked it.
Thought it had some nice homages to the older films, plenty of geeky stuff for dino fans and actually quite a lot of detail in places (like the new dinos being feathered, and the explanation why).
It's what it is though. You can't go into one of these films expecting a marvel of story telling, as that isn't what it's about and wouldn't please the actual fans either. |

Why are you assuming I’m not an actual fan? I’ve enjoyed all the other movies and the book. This was a total dud in my opinion - to which I am entitled |

I'm not.
But would you have really expected it to be a massive story telling epic?
I enjoyed all the others and the books too (though the Lost World book was a bit pants tbh), but thought this was better than most of the other films.
Just my opinion. |

I was watching on IMAX 3D. The bottom of the glasses were tight to my cheeks. At the end, said scene happened, and at one point I had to pull the glasses away from my face as the tears were pooling in them |

I myself watched Elvis last week. I’ll give it a solid 9.
Brilliantly directed (as one would expect from Baz Luhrmann) and fine performances all around but I’m going to be a bastard and take off a point as it was a bit too long for my poor numb arse to handle comfortably |

Disney are blooming experts at farming tears from their audiences.
I remember watching Inside Out at the cinema years ago and the scene where Bing Bong dies left me in an absolutely mess

"Top Gun Maverick. 7/10, but I'm a pilot so I'm nit picking.
Thor: love and thunder 6/10. But I'm a God so I'm nit picking "
God or Goddess, or whichever you choose on the day? |
