To be fair the big hair was everywhere! I was certainly wearing it! And it looked utterly ridiculous as I’m 5’2 and at that time was a skinny wee thing too my mother used to say I looked like a walking fluffed out cotton bud!

I also at points in the 80’s had the spiral perm, wedge Bob and spiky short hair - a very good thing we didn’t have sm back then!
