Few things mentioned.
Cartoons...yep some of them were better...Transformers, Tom and Jerry, WB cartoons, Danger Mouse, Dungeons and Dragons.
Thatcher????... She will not put up with all this crap in her office but would it have been better for the average person and family?

Definitely snow in winter.
Not sure about the getting offended bit, I'm quite sure people did get offended but it was either unfashionable or (often) dangerous to express that offence.

Apart from the music (which is shite these days), aren’t we heading that way already?
What with increased xenophobia; racism; violence; civil unrest; strikes; economic uncertainty; bigotry; homophobia; shambolic government; etc…. |

What was not to like about the 80s
Packed pubs, everybody out enjoying the moment and no mobile phones.
Fantastic music, electro pop, AOR rock.
Great TV like Cheers and Auf Wiedersehen Pet. |

The friendships I had then going off on bikes all day having “adventures” and just having a laugh and spending time with some of the people I still love the most but don’t get to spend much time with now |

Well DDT did work really well and we benefitted from Agent Orange in Vietnam to using Paraquat on pot farms in Mexico. Friend of wine still had a drum of the stuff in the 80s, still used and swore by it. |

"My ra ra skirt and leg warmers
And watching the boys break dancing outside Barclays in town on a Saturday "
*Other banks are available.
Yeah I remember that.
Times when kids/teens/people actually went out to socialise instead of spending 90% of their free time on games consoles or chatting online.
Oh - hang on! |
