So my health is being an absolute bitch atm. I'm barely managing to function, I'm having multiple life-threatening episodes weekly/daily and the paramedics are starting to recognise me 
I keep being told by health professionals that I'm not safe being on my own but I literally have nobody to ask for help.
Has anyone got ideas/suggestions on ways I can stay safe? I'm scared I'm going to lose consciousness and/or have an episode in my sleep (which has happened twice) and die.
It's a bit of a grim topic but I need hive-mind help x |

A home carer maybe? Someone in the care sector to live with you whos there when you need them. Im not sure whether you come under any eligible criteria to have one but going of what youve been told by professionals i dont see why not |

Get in touch with your local council and you can get a house alarm that's connected to carers. You can press the button or wear a pendant with a button on it. You pay a monthly fee but it's not much and so worth it for peace of mind. I had to get one due to my health a few years ago. X |

"Get in touch with your local council and you can get a house alarm that's connected to carers. You can press the button or wear a pendant with a button on it. You pay a monthly fee but it's not much and so worth it for peace of mind. I had to get one due to my health a few years ago. X"
That's a damn good idea. The paramedics today have referred me to social services so maybe they'll be able to sort that. Thank you  |

It's called 'lifeline' they will contact emergency services and a next of kin.  |

Definitely this . I work for a clinic and some of the patients there have the pendant...it's a life-saver |

Yeah know several people who have one its reassuring to know its there.
There are also care packages where you can have folk check up on you multiple times a day to make sure everything's alright. |

Definitely adult social care, they should be able to help, we had this with my neighbour, used to get people in at least 2/3 times a day, then myself and another friend would check on him in-between times.
If you were on the mainland I'd offer to help.
Are you on FB? We have some great local community groups and people are usually happy to help out. |
