I knew there are actually people who still believe this madness. But I didn't know there was a 1 hour documentary on it on Netflix. I mean really? Just fly high on a jet plane and see it's got a curvature. But the fact there is an horizon blows the theory out.
Right that's my final Sunday rant. |

We would love to meet of these people, for a discussion on the matter.
Having said that there are still people out there roaming free who firmly belive that 2000 plus years ago a brace of Penguins toddled all the way from the South Pole to the Middle East to get on wooden ship know as an Ark.
So perhaps not so dumb |

"Watch the doc about flat earthers its very good"
About them??
There will be a counter documentary so they can counter the roundheads!
I remember an argument (mocking voice)"The Earth cannot be a globe I slip when I step on globes" |

"Apart from people who haven't thought rationale about it, I do wonder how many people truly believe it's flat. "
Unfortunately a lot. A manager at a previous work brought this up and that he believes it! Honestly!!! |

Watch the documentary. Best unintentional comedy on Netflix.

Barry Ritholtz who runs Twitter for FlatEarthOrg did actually Tweet:
"The Flat Earth Society has members all over the globe!"
Anyway, feel free to ask Barry or any of his mates to explain the Humber Bridge to you.
Basically it is so long they had to build it so it 'bends' round along with the curvature of the Earth. The two towers aren't parallel but are several inches further apart at the top to compensate.
They HATE you asking to explain this one. |

It was once said that people were stupid because they had no information readily available. I think with the internet now these flat earthers disprove that theory |

I was talking to the man in the moon over the weekend to get his perspective and he said it often looks flat to him.
He applied to join the FES but they dropped a Clanger when they refused his application because they claimed he would eclipse all other members.
He's happy now that he didn't join following a conversation with his mate Phileas Fogg who called him a lunar and asked wtf did he think he had been doing for 80 days? |

One of them infamously put a Youtube vid up offering £10,000 (he was English) to anyone who could prove the world was a globe. A retired engineer/architect who worked on the Humber Bridge left a comment saying he'd be delighted to meet up or appear on a follow up vid as he'd bring all the plans and calculations and explain exactly how they had to build the bridge to nearest millimetre and thus prove we are on a globe. And collect his ten grand.
The video was quickly deleted! LOL As was the channel.
Funny that eh? |

I’ll have to wait ‘til they get back to find out if they fell of the top side, or dropped off the underside. |

Optical illusion, it’s always been flat and most things out there are CGI.

Imagine being an expert in your field. Whatever it is, where the curve of the earth is involved. Like the engineer building that bridge
Imagine being him, stood on the shoulders of giants who throughout history did amazing things with maths and science to prove the earth is round.
And someone that still struggles with fractions tells you your wrong |

I think you’ll find pyramids are just the landing stations for the mother ships from when we were Martians - we travelled here with ray guns and killed all the dinosaurs then covered up that mass murder with an ice age after which the egyptians built pyramids or we were going to kill them too - we then landed on earth and were much better looking than the egyptians so we pulled all the. Fit burds - all the normal egypians died out leaving us to colonise the planet with really fit people from Mars!! I think you’ll find my explanation covers a lot of the loose ends in evolution etc!! |
