I don't think you have to abstain between. This is why I wondered if it should be celebrated more on the day.

I feel as bad about missing this as I did about missing National Cream Tea Day last year.
I am going to do my best to honour Cream Tea Day this year (24 June), to make up for it.
I haven't got a plan for making up for missing yesterday.  |
