A begging post, sort of
Jump to: Newest in thread
Ok, im thinking of doing something for mad pride on july the 14th. For those that are not aware it is similar too gay pride but for people with mental health issues. Now not sure how on earth im going to do this on my own, hence the beginning of the begging.
What i would like to do is hold 4 events in my small town from the monday to thursday the week beginning the 12th of july, my aim is to get four venues and have entertainment in a different venue for four nights.
Now i know this is a long shot but i am looking for anyone who is or knows of a band, singer, musician, orchestra or any talent who would be prepared to do a turn FREE of charge. The idea is to hopefully to get some peole to donate there time and charge maybe £5 on the door towards mental health charities. Or just one nights venue with different entertainment.
Or is anyone running the london marathon and would like to do it for mad pride or anyone doing any sponsed events but not sure which charity to donate to. This is primarily about awareness although the donations would be great.
Also anyone that works for a company or in a position where they are able to donate raffle prizes for a charity event.#
As i said this is in the very early stages and im not sure i will be able to carry it of but im going to try my damnedist.
So any thoughts, ideas, or anyone willing to offer services or prizes please please pm me.
Obviously this isnt going to be my only avenue, anyone that knows me anywhere isnt going to escape my beggingxxxxxxxxxxxxkarenxxx |

That is one tough task you have set yourself
Hats off to you Diamond xxxx
I know you will work really hard at it,would'nt it be easier on you if you plan just one big party for one night at one venue that will attract loads of
people and be really successful rather than 4 different events
Im just thinking how much work is going to be involved

I did something like this once for a school fundraiser.
Get hold of your local radio station and ask them to run an ad asking for local bands who would play your event, free.......
At the end of the day, most local small bands will play for free as it's gig practice and hourse.
The radio station may even cover your event if you can get them involved. |
