Has Chris Hemsworth just achieved peak human form?

I just seen the new Thor love and thunder trailer, and there is one scene where his clothes come off (I can already hear all the women running to see the trailer now )... but to be fair, my reaction was "FUUUUUCK He is jacked!". I'm gonna be honest, not even Chris Bumstead or other bodybuilders/physique competitors made me have such a reaction.

Now for me personally that is inspiring and motivational...the work ethic that goes into that is undoubtable. However...for every positive reaction there will be a negative one...I'm sure some of you will scream STEROIDS ( and yes, he is most likely on steroids), others will say it leads to toxic masculinity (what ever that means) and unrealistic beauty standards ( and I can see some truth in this- because you can't maintain such a physique long term)...

Anyways what do you (the individual-as in your subjective opinion) think of Chris Hemsworth's body? Perfection ? Too much? Or MEH don't care...

He’s currently training to play Hulk Hogan so he is most definitely on steroids to achieve anywhere near that sort of physique but unlike most I won’t say that is cheating.

If we could all stick a needle in our backside and look like that we all would. In reality it takes years of discipline and dedication to get that big no matter how many PED’s you take so he gets nothing but respect from me.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Holy shit! I’ve just seen him to

It’s certainly a build ideally suited for the character he plays but not a look I’d want on myself if I’m honest.

The ideal male body in my opinion goes to Joe Manganiello (my dude crush)

I think if the roles were reversed and a female character had her cloths forcibly stripped off her and then ogled by a bunch of men we would be having an entirely different conversation.

Female fabs have been crying about black widow and Wanda being sexualised and marvel have made changes. Shame they can’t be equal on both sides

His body is nice. Don’t think he’s facially that attractive though. So not peak human for me.

I appreciate all forms of beauty, so wouldn’t be any different for me if it was male or female.

Its an amazing body transformation from home and away to star trek to this.

You can’t deny he has an amazing physique, and he posts lots of his training clips online.

But its also worth pointing out that its his full time job, not a hobby or past time, and the studios will pay for trainers, nutritionists and the like. So while its attainable, for most people it takes a bit more work.

And don't forget CGI, I wonder how much of that was used as well

I’ll go and have a look. I can’t place all these modern-day movie stars who are deemed to be super handsome. Their beards make them look all the same!

I mean I am sure you and I will disagree that the historical objectification of male and female bodies are different and so not always so easy to compare. I feel like generally the objectification and sexualisation of women’s bodies has had worse consequences (not always ofc).

But I do agree with the implication that it’s not ok the way we objectify men for the gratification of watchers- especially when it’s not exactly necessary.

I think we’d both agree that while the history is different, it doesn’t make it ok today.

His body could also be digitally enhanced, no?

The film looks fun- I’ve never seen any of the Marvel films but this one looks like one my very short attention span could cope with but this guy’s body…. not my thing. I adore tall, lithe and toned physiques in men.

When I saw Tom Hank’s scene in Cast Away, going from dad bod to buff bod, then I *did* go beautiful body indeed!

here & there

He does look hot…

but those results would be achievable by being paid to work out, fitness guru’s beasting you, dietitian micro managing every gram of your intake……… and his desire to push himself.

There’s a great interview with R-pats & Taylor Lautner from twilight movies… they both had the same trainers, diet etc but whatever the trainers tried to do R-pats body would not respond to baulking & ab development, in the end they painted them on

Havent seen the trailer but seen previous Thor films.

Easy to get in that shape with a personal trainer, diet and loads of money.

Sorry but I have to disagree. He won’t admit he’s on steroids but that physique is almost impossible to achieve without a little help. Henry Cavill confirmed most actors with even a little bit of muscle are on steroids and the trainers are the ones dishing them out.

I’d imagine only his inner circle will know and I wouldn’t be surprised if NDA’s were involved. Hollywood and the fitness industry make far too much money pretending the average Joe can look like that with a few shakes and 30 minute workouts.

As I’ve said earlier this takes nothing away from the dedication and effort he has had to put in for aver a decade.

Sorry but I have to disagree. He won’t admit he’s on steroids but that physique is almost impossible to achieve without a little help. Henry Cavill confirmed most actors with even a little bit of muscle are on steroids and the trainers are the ones dishing them out.

For context I’ve been training for 9 years and still look like shit but know a lot of people in incredible shape.

For context I sit at the top 1% off a sport my info came directly from a current ufc fighter that was sat next to him at a ufc event

And my friend sed to him he thought he be a lot bigger considering how he looks on screen

and this was like 3 months ago

Sorry but your constantly saying you know these things because someone high up sat next to him?

So sitting next to someone is enough?

Moreplatesmoredates did a video on him and he’s absolutely juicing. No offence but I’ll believe his opinion over “I know someone that sat next to him”

You know nothing see the fact you pick fights with me in things like this all ready tells me that

As I have a very unique way off typeing and spelling

That cross over

Witch tells me you no way shape or forum part off that world

As by my type style anyone who’s anyone in that world would pick up who it is

And know not to even question it

Say what you want. A well respected YouTube star that is literally an expert on this stuff has multiple videos on the guy, and they all point to “yes he’s on gear”

I’ll take that over “I know a guy that sat next to him”

It’s nothing to do with your terrible spelling, grammar and conversion style or who you are. It’s just a silly opinion backed up by nothing in the face of overwhelming evidence"

Ha ha derek form more plates more dates

I know his contact that he literally gets his info off it’s the same guy worked for belco labs and that now works for the ufc testing

I’ll have to agree to disagree. In my opinion he’s on at least testosterone. It’s 20 years since his testosterone levels peaked so to achieve that size would require crazy genetics and unnatural levels of testosterone for a man at his age. Add to that the short space of time he’s gained it and that points clearly to juicing.

But if you’re certain your info is correct nothing I say will change your opinion so there’s nothing else either of us can really add to the conversation.

Soon as anyone resorts to name calling consider the discussion over. Especially when their opinion is based on “I know a guy that sat next to him”

Steroid use with men in the public eye is probably one of the biggest body issues men currently face by pretending these bodies are achievable natural. They aren’t. Don’t be fooled or feel down about your body, especially if your natural

If you want an example, go google some natural bodybuilding competitions and realise none of them look half as good as Thor. Then realise most of them aren’t natural either because the testing is very relaxed at these events

Good on that Henry dude for being honest about it all. It’s about time

Think he would to me or my friends

I’d imagine only his inner circle will know and I wouldn’t be surprised if NDA’s were involved. Hollywood and the fitness industry make far too much money pretending the average Joe can look like that with a few shakes and 30 minute workouts.

As I’ve said earlier this takes nothing away from the dedication and effort he has had to put in for aver a decade.

Not exactly as when you deal at the top end off the spectrum there is only a hand full off proper labs

He not be on street stuff

So that kind off narrows the labs down to hand full off labs

And with the way steroids is in sports

people know people at that level

Sorry but I’ve no idea what your even trying to say. It’s very difficult to understand the point your making

But watch Derek’s stuff on moreplatesmoredates

He’s far more qualified that s ufc athlete that sat next to him

Please stop right there...I don't appreciate you calling anyone nasty words such as "stupid" on this thread. No one said anything offensive towards you !

The fact people call steroids everytime they see someone in good shape makes me question what do they do at home and at the gym.

You can look like Chris Hemsworth in relatively short time given the diet, training and recovery.

It's perfectly normal for non steroid user to look that way.

The only advantage I might see him potentially having is good genetics which makes that form easier to achieve.

Nah I follow one of the guys he trains with on Instagram. Some of the workouts they do together are insane.

Have you seen the trailer? Unless it is CGI it’s definitely steroids. Add to that the fact he’s trying to achieve Hulk Hogan’s physique for a film which is 100% impossible without PED’s.

I think CGI could be used to plump him up in certain scenes, but he’s been using for a while. I’d say he’s probably been on for every Thor movie apart from maybe his 1st appearance as Thor

I’ll have to rewatch the MPMD stuff and see his opinion again

You mean the part at the end where he is naked? If so, no it doesn't look like steroids to me. I'm not saying it's not CGI or steroids but that's a perfectly achievable physique considering the training and dieting he's provided.

Hulk Hogans physique? Do you have any pictures of that because the ones on Google look awful or maybe they don't have any pictures of his peak physique.

P.S. just bare in mind they're actors. They only look like that 1 movie scene/shot for like 5 minutes

Even Zac Efron admitted he has given the director a few minute window to shoot a scene with his peak physique and after the movie he decided not to keep it up anymore.

Those physiques are extremely hard to achieve and maintain yes, but not impossible

Think it’s important to remember too that it’s not just their physique that brings steroids to light, it’s the speed they get it

Just rewatched MPMD video. Hemsworth gained like 25lbs of pure muscle in 5-6 months for the first Thor. Then he lost a good 15lbs for rush. Then gained it all back for another role. All quite quickly and with very little fat gained.

If you think his physique is possible, fine. But doing it that quickly? Just gaining and dropping so much muscle so quickly? Seems very unnatural to me

It’s certainly a build ideally suited for the character he plays but not a look I’d want on myself if I’m honest.
