Got into a real bad habit lately of picking those bits of skin next to my nails that peel naturally (pulling not biting because bacteria). I hate it so much, it's gross and I always have at least one finger that's sore and/or a bit bloody. Does anyone have any tips to make it stop?? |

Cuticle oil or cream every night before bed will soften the skin and stop them occuring.
I used to get them really badly and I added that into my nighttime routine and I hardly get them at all now |

"Just cut them with nail clippers "
I've tried this, I just end up picking at the skin until it starts coming off again. It's more of a compulsion at this point. |

My fingers are in bits because of this and I chew mine. I try to divert the habit elsewhere, the only thing that helps to reset my obsessiveness is taking very good care of my nails.
