I’ve often marvelled and found it funny how fab land seems to work in reverse to interactions in ‘the real world’; here we see genitals before faces, a name is a closely guarded secret and personal details are traded like gold.

In connection with this, is it also true that being sexy or our bodies are easier to expose and show than our emotions?

Is intimacy and closeness the final taboo on fab?

It's strangers on the internet, so best to be prudent

If someone is just looking for an NSA fuck then intimacy and closeness aren't required...?

Having public genital pics is different to having friends (or no) pics.

Whilst I tend to agree, there’s a unique way about fab

I know, my point is that that approach can make intimacy a very taboo thing

Its not intimacy its into me i see

I dont see it as taboo i see it as dangerous

It takes too much of a level of care to be truly intimate and many people from what i see here have been badly burned even broken by intimacy

Do you mean taboo in that the people aren't compatible?

NSA- no intimacy

FWB/ swinging- intimacy?

I think that you’re missing the point of what I’m asking. Maybe I’m being a bit vague this morning?

I had a conversation with friends about this.

I said on here we assess bodies first as a general rule, and then the rest comes after. They couldn’t comprehend it, because it’s a bit backwards.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I find that nothing beats a stimulating and intelligent discussion with a flaccid penis held between two fingers over a toilet bowl

If you're looking for true intimacy, fab is not the place for it. As someone has already said, it can break you. There's always a little piece of me that I hold back on, and that's often not a conscious decision.

It really is. The more I think about it, the more it strikes me as contradictory to real life interactions.

The fact that getting to know someone and friendship/intimacy is very rare is just another aspect of that

This must be why I don't understand the OP question. I don't do this.

I always look at pics first, do you not? If the pics are ok then I move into the bio

See if people would take the power in to they own hands

Like I do

Icnore me hear I am not interested In real life

Simple as I love it when people realise how stupid they been when in reality I was interested

But they ignorance turned me off

And stuck them on to a forever no list

Lol

I only look at the pics to see if there's anything that puts me off.

I prefer no pics.

I chat to people. Not into sex meat catalogue stuff.

I feel that many people crave the brief intimacy that sex brings and are searching for it here, some using their body to attract partners. Genuine intimacy and closeness isn't possible to achieve with casual encounters in my opinion so yes, maybe it is the final taboo
