You know, the spoilt kids down the road had one, and you’d look on enviously but you never had one of your own.
There’s two I can think of for me.
A Mr Frosty
And a Evel Knievel Stunt Bike (remember them, oldies?)
What about you, Fabsters? What were those toys you hopefully yearned for but Santa never delivered? |

"A Raleigh chopper, but I got a grifter. I wasn't happy about that"
I had a Grifter, loved it! But yeah, I hear you, that gearstick on a Chopper was legendary! |

hiding from cock pics. |
I'm not really sure but I do remember for Christmas once, getting a matching orange and black umbrella and torch. I was totally happy with them. My kids would have literally laughed me out the house if they got that. |

I don't remember wanting any toy other people had.
My best friend had loads of toys and games we played with for hours.
At home I read most of the time. We tended to only play games at Christmas. |

Most things tbh. We had very little but was always grateful for what we had.
I've been really tempted to buy a Raleigh apple from fb just to say I've had one. Seeing them brings back all kinds of sensory memories smells, sounds, feelings from when I was a kid |

Similar boat. I was very conscious and careful as a kid not to ask for things my parents would struggle with, I didn't want them to feel bad. They would question me sometimes and ask me if I'm sure that's all I wanted. My birthday is close to Christmas that didn't help.
Anyway as an adult I have been tempted and have bought things we couldn't afford as kids. But I get away saying I just I bought these things to share some of my childhood with my kids. But I love playing with them too.
Not that I was deprived, I had a wonderful childhood. Everything my parents lacked in money they made up for in abundance with love, culture and wisdom. They invested everything they had in me. I have an incredibly good childhood apart from the financial poverty.

"Tin Can Alley
God yes!! Good call. Always wanted that.. didn’t know anyone who had it though, so never played it!"
I played it a couple of times when visiting a relative, my parents didnt approve of weapons, even toy ones, but after many times of asking they gave in and i got a spud gun, which was more dangerous than tin can alley which only fired a beam of light... go figure |
