Lådies, Whateveries, Gentlemën, Binarïes and Streamíng Bunnìes...

With the prevailing cancellation of subscription streaming services are you now more choosy or selective in what Netflix series you watch?

It's quite impossible to predict the fate of any series, but all too often I become thoroughly immersed in a series only for it to be axed from any future seasons leaving me quite disappointed.

I'm now reaching for some of the slightly older series where there is some 'maturity' in the show.

Netflix has become stale, their own stuff is often what they think people like but is just a niche market

I don't watch a huge amount of TV. I only got catch up TV and Netflix his time last year, I've had my initial "catch up on the last ten years of telly" binge and now I just watch whatever really catches my eye and fires my imagination.

I have watched some older series on Netflix knowing they've been cancelled and will end abruptly with no resolution. I don't need a neat resolution to enjoy the show.

I don’t have Netflix, only time I watched the service was with an ex, some of the series were good, but mostly I found it disappointing.

I wonder if, as they are losing subscribers at a rate, the account/password sharing will be cancelled, although I have to say it seems a strange thing for a subscription service to do in the first place.

No as I just watch what I enjoy or takes my eye. I enjoy the wide choice of non UK / American films and series.

I prefer Netflix to the Virgin channels as there are better programmes. I barely watch anything on the TV anyway x

The only thing that could save Netflix is if they made a documentary about the £85 Grinch

We don't have Netflix. We do have Amazon Prime but mainly so we don't have to pay for shopping deliveries! The TV stuff is a bonus. We don't have any other subscriptions like Spotify or YouTube premium etc. We just have regular Freeview TV and things like iPlayer on it. Does us nicely

I couldn’t live without Netflix as I rarely watch anything else. Have just finished Power (was amazing!) and Russian Doll so now need a new fix - open to suggestions…

Netflix say its lost 200,000 subscribers, and expects to loose another 2 million in the next quarter. The chances are Amazon are also loosing customers too, because of the rising costs people are facing, and a need to cut back. So what, or how much would most say they would be prepared to pay, as it seems when these companies loose customers, they increase the fee to those who remain to make up the loss. Amazon prime at the moment £79 per year. Who would still keep it if it increased by £20. At what point would most say enough is enough.

I’ll keep Netflix for the foreseeable future as I’m presently binge watching the many included Korean action and horror dramas on the platform.

Amazon is a tricky one imo.. it used to be you got the tv side with prime for the next day delivery..

The next day delivery seems to have fallen by the wayside, rarely do i receive any items purchased the nezt day and there is very little on Amazon Prime right now that appeals to me. Sneaky Pete and Boys were good though !

Apple TV has been binned though i must admit

Lost in Space was specially disappointing. It looked great but too many characters anc confusing plot lines meant this should be given a miss. That's the bad out of the way. Good...Money Heist, The Big Bang Theory, Snowpiercer.

Ooh I liked Lost in Space actually.

Definitely agree with Money Heist! One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. The characters are amazing!

And love Snowpiercer!

I’m so far behind on Netflix it’s unreal. I’ll never get round to watching everything of interest and thus will keep my subscription.

There’s a documentary I saw a trailer for starting in 2 weeks I’m excited for called Our Father, which looks insane

I suppose Netflix was good valve when it was the only show in town, but now with all the competing streaming services with shows and films I want to watch I find myself going for the cheapest option. Which is Kodi and a yearly subscription to Real-Debrid of £27 get me everything I could possibly want, with everything in one place.

Is that the fertility doctor? I remember when that story broke and they were really struggling to prosecute because while it was unethical it wasn't strictly illegal.

Weirdest story.
