I’m certainly open to dating. I have a couple of chaps I see occasionally but one lives 250 miles away (well worth the trip though) and not sure what’s happening with the other one. Either way there’s definitely an opening for someone who doesn’t live hundreds of miles away. |

This sounds very much like the adage ‘familiarity breeds contempt’.
I guess for some the excitement makes it worth the trip initially then the excitement of a new friend (or potential friend) you’re chatting to takes precedence.
Personally I become more attached (as in fond of - not clingy) to someone I have a great time with the more I meet them - and have no issue travelling to continue meeting them.
Obviously it becomes a moot point if the fondness isn’t reciprocated though - and the friendship dissipates. |

It is already hard to find a good match these days if we don’t allow the distance to be part of the game it is even harder. Chances to find a good match on the door step ? We wouldn’t need Fab or any dating apps to do that. Lots of people keep meeting wrong people and they complain about it but maybe it is because we are looking in the same place and we are too lazy to invest some time and expand our search further away. Finding what we are looking for( someone to share lifestyle and more) it takes time and hard work with a pinch of luck but one thing it is certain there has to be the will to put some time and effort if not just let’s sit and wait to win the lottery with the ticket we never bought |

B. Go meet people! I've been on 2 dates in 2 weeks... actual 3d ones with mentally stable 'not men'. Both were curated through simple conversations in external locations with random 'not men'.
C. Swerve the trigger brigade, the jaded men hating swamp donkeys, the fuck and go men and the lightly veiled assholes and go talk to people before it's a totally lost art.

I used to drive 2hrs each way to my first fwb. We met 1/2 way beforehand for a social which got me so aroused my balls ached all the way back. After that she always wanted me to travel to her house for our fun whilst her son was at school. Worked well while it lasted.. |

I love dating and dating people from FAB means you both have the chance to be far more open, sexually speaking, right at the start than you can be when dating in the conventional way.
The tragedy of this place is that I always seem to get on really well with people who live the other side of the country, and there’s no realistic chance of anything more lasting happening.
