If I went to a shop to by a tablet, and came home with a phone, I'd end up calling it a wasted afternoon. |

Theres not much difference between the 3 which was released in march and the soon to be released 4. If youve not had an ipad before, get one. They are amazing bits of kit. I hardly use the PC now I have one. |

I have a galaxy note tablet.
I think it comes down to your preference. If you have iPhone, iPod etc, iPad is the way to go, as it'll all sync up.
I went android, as my phone is, so I can agai. Link the two. I can also link to my pc and laptop, and do all work on my tablet and save it on pc. |

I have an iPad 2 but seem to find less and less use for it. For most things I would use the iPad for, I prefer to use my iPhone.
Tempted to try the iPad mini and see if that makes the difference. |

I have the 2.
Rarely used my laptop since, perfect tool for browsing the net.
Pretty rare you come across things which don't work, depends if you use webcams etc, but there are workarounds
Go for it! |

Well it was a case of being able to justify it to myself..... could i justify getting both an Iphone and an Ipad....
because of the amount of nerdy stuff I have... I could use me iphone mainly for calls and music and a couple of apps (sat nav, news, ect).. and an ipad for apps, games ect...
so it is a case of big Ipad4 or mini Ipad erm... mini!!
If you can all all Ipad specific Apps on a Mini, that is the way I am leaning.... |

Got the two and love it... Got the 3G and wifi all singing model but if you got the iPhone just get the wifi model and use your iPhone as a modem by tethering, make sure your contract allows it though... Saves some on the model and saves you getting payg sim |

I agree with the above too - I've gott the iPad 3 recently and went for a higher gb but without the 3G as I just work it through the personal hotspot on my iPhone!! I bought mine on a bit of a whim when in the apple store in London as was always quite critical of it as an overpriced toy but I love it!! I never use the laptop anymore it's just too big and bulky and the iPad goes everywhere with me!! Do it you won't regret it |

Had an ipad1 now on ipad3 and find them so handy to just pick up and browse ... mind my son has it most of the time.He does games, social networking. Any browsing of homework subjects that are useful he then sends to the computer.
Recently got an imac and iphone 4s so they all synch and share.
plus facetime with my daughter and grandson on all three are priceless as they are all mac also. |

I have the original iPad and it has pretty much replaced newspapers, tv guides and books. I reckon it had payed for itself within 2 years. It's also used for casual internet use and gaming.
I will be upgrading to the latest full size iPad, up til now there hasn't been a compelling reason with version 2 and 3 but iPad 4 is now massively more powerful than my aging iPad 1.
I am Apple insane though, I also have a Retina MacBook Pro, iPhone, Apple TV and an iPod so maybe my view is slanted |

Fabio got iPad 1,2 & 3 and iPhone and Mac book love them all, tried the S3 and it is confirmed I prefer apple.
If you buy one you love it and as for the price it shows in build quality and customer service
It you buy from apple online they engrave the back too |
