I was born in St Leonards in Hastings and we lived in Rye for a couple of years near to my dad’s family but then moved to Yorkshire where my mum was from. I now live about ten miles from the town I grew up in. Sometime I do wish we’d stayed down south. |

Yep. I grew up on the edge of town. 5 mins one way in to civilization. 5 mins the other way into the quiet of the country side. Doesn't get much better than that so why move?
It's not the town per se, tbut the area I grew up in being "just right" for me. |

Yes I do and I couldn't imagine moving anytime in the foreseeable future. I absolutely love where I live. It's one of the most beautiful areas of the country. |

No, I moved away around 12 years ago and only really go back to see family. I took C last year for the full tour guide Barbie experience…
I enjoy going back now and again but I feel I wouldn’t want to live there again. Love where I live now…

Her ladyship yes - she's lived in every house within a 1 mile radius.
Me? No, born in the South East, lived in South Wales since 2002. I'd move elsewhere but wouldn't dream of going back to where I grew up.

Yes for both of us.
When I was younger I used to think our wee toon was a shite place to live but as I've got older I've realised it's actually a beautiful little corner of the country that has everything you could need for a x country/town life. |

Depends what you term as the "same area".
Same planet - tick.
Same continent - tick.
Same country - tick.
Similar latitude - tick.
Same time zone - tick.
But when I look at all the social and technological changes that have occurred since I was born, I do sometimes wonder if I'm in a different galaxy! |

Redhill |
Gosh, no.
I only went there back in 2019 for the first time (after birth) to correct my birth certificate!
My parents moved away from my birthplace when I was 3 months old and I’ve lived in about 30 different places since then. Even here in the UK, I’ve moved about 8 times in my 20 years here… |

I was born in Edinburgh, but with my father's career, moved 6 times around the UK up to age 14. Left school into work, moving to 18 career choice locations across UK, before settling in Hull. Now retired. |

Have you ever encountered midges? Stay away from the West! |

No, I loved my hometown and my close friend groups but I'm glad I've experienced different places.
Born on the sunny South coast (town near Portsmouth). Since leaving home I've lived in Devon, Southampton, Dorset, Wiltshire, Salisbury and now Oxfordshire. Visited a few places up north that I would like to live if only there was decent work options for my particular skills. So far my favourite was where I lived in Wiltshire but I do miss the sea at times, I think growing up with it instills a longing to be near it in your heart. There's always holidays for that though. |

Dubai & Nottingham |
Yes, just bought a house not far from where I grew up but it’s taken me a few countries and 30 years to come back. I don’t know why, I can live & work anywhere in the world but choose here, but it balances out Dubai which makes me lonely |

I’ll likely move again soon, haven’t decided where yet, I’m nomadic by nature so staying in the same place long term isn’t for me. Thankfully I have a job that is entirely home-based! |
