I’m a massive Propaganda fan so ‘Duel’ is a great song to introduce you to this band.

The Adventures as others have already recommended are the Irish ‘Simple Minds’ just better (in my opinion). The Sea of Love is a great album.

Did he he sample it to?

The instance I was thinking of was, Capella with their dance track, ‘U Got 2 Let the Music’ (which was admittedly rather catchy)

I was a huge Iron Maiden fan, and they had some amazing stuff in the 80s. Too much to list them all.

I also loved Chris Rea. "On The Beach" for mellow, and of course "Road to Hell" for the ultimate musical anti-Thatcherism.

Loves great adventure was a big hit in mid 84. Then bigger things for Geldof and Ure in Nov 84.....

Geldof wrote Someones Looking At You in 80, a very prophetic song about the surveillance state that we came to live in. 'There's a spy in the sky, a noise on the wire, a tap on the line for every paranoid's desire'

That is one of my favourite songs! Classic. It was always frowned upon for its screaming gayness [not by me, no hate please], but I just love the song. I love Requiem by the London boys as well..there, said it
