It might just be me but seems so much quieter on here these days. Even at this time of night the lounge used to move really quickly. Have we exhausted all possible nonsense to chat about? |

"I think there's been a bit of migration to Swingers Chat too. I'm finding myself in there when I never used to.
Come back lounge people!
Swingers chat ? What’s this? "
No, nothing, forget I said anything. Stay here! |

Lana It’s the weekend we’ll Friday night
Clubs and stuff are opened back up and socials are back and also people can go out again for dinners and such
So I would say that has contributed to a bit off a quiter time on here
As we not locked in any more with nothing to do |

I find myself commenting less and less on the forum these days also.
If I do I’m in the swingers chat
Regarding them being quiet, I think it’s a mixture of clubs open and people meeting now especially after Christmas and January. Also like Diamondcougar said it’s monotonous the same threads get made so often - I think a lot just take a break from the forum because of that and others reasons. |

You are right and increasingly been taken over by provocateurs. |

"Agreed ...
I don't post much at all in here these days ...
Has got a bit stale and serious lately just my opinion though "
Yeah, I think serious is the word actually. I used to always be laughing at something on here but I rarely am anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old. |

I'm not sure. There used to be a lot more "thinky" threads that would engage people.
A lot more absurd, slightly odd threads. Now jokes (that aren't offensive) are deliberately misconstrued. People get angry.
Threads where people would debate without falling back on ad hominem fallacies are few and far between.
It's just a bit... meh. It feels like there's more attention seeking, more anger. Just more... meh. Definitely a trough phase. |

"There’s not enough talk of radiators and electrical fittings for my liking… "
I had 3 new radiators and a rewire last week. My new consumer board is top notch. |

I agree. I haven't been on the forums for ages as it is getting a bit repetitive. |

Yes I think that's just how online communication has gone these days. Not fab directly but all online communication. |

January February are always quiet. Also after big socials a lot of people disappear off the forums. Something about seeing people in real life being very different to close up cock and tit pics. |

I would say the following based on 10 years of forum participation:
Subjects tend to be more serious, couple this with the modern desired to be outraged or offended by anything and the lack of context inherent in a short response and it goes to hell in a handcart quite quickly, this leads many to disengage and thus a proliferation of “safe” and “samey” threads.
There seems to be more angst and less light-hearted throwaway fun because throwaway fun tends to lead to people being offended.
It’s not a fab thing, it’s a world thing, we seem to have lost the ability to accept differences of opinion without vilification, insults or derogatory labels. The world is changing and the status quo of live and let live has diminished.
Well that’s all thoroughly depressing, erm rate my cock? |

That pretty much sums it up. |

Some reasons I don't post as much these days:
Always the same threads by the same people with the same contributers every time
Threads are turned into something far removed from the original topic.
People out to just argue with others and their forum "mates" all jumping on the bandwagon.
Hopefully now that everything has begun to open up again, it gets back to being fun x |

People definitely play it safer now, and put so much effort into crafting their posts/forum persona. I preferred when more people just typed as they spoke. I feel like Alf Garnett now bring back the inappropriateness! |

I've typed out posts then just deleted them because I know someone will get offended but it was just a joke. |
