Somewhere In The Ether…

So…I have devised a completely scientifically unsubstantiated hypothesis that ladies are more likely to favour sweet foods over savoury, whereas chaps will more often than not opt for savoury foods.

With this highly dodgy theory in place, good folks could you please validate it by listing your preference?

Fear not, for even if my prediction fails utterly and miserably, I am prepared to follow in the hallowed footsteps of a certain Cyril Burt….and falsify my data

Apologies to your theory but I do have a sweet tooth.

I like a mixture of both. Alongside those fluffy textured things with filling in the middle cut in to rectangular shapes

You're going to need to your "falsify my data" pen out.

Matters thus far have not entirely panned out as I predicted….

We both enjoy both. But my husband does slightly lean towards savoury, and I do enjoy a good sweet

Whatever I crave first, be it sweet or savoury, once i've eaten it, I always then need a bit of the other to follow. Just bring all the food types!

I'm definitely a savoury person while her ladyship is all about the sweet stuff so your theory appears to be spot on my good sir.*

*my dataset is admittedly a little small.

Are you sure I couldn’t slip you a little bribe? I can even make it savoury - a pork pie maybe if you’ll supply just a tinsey winsey little nugget of false data…. *laughs in a crazed scientist like manner*

Sweet here.

I like savory food, but for treats/snacks I'd much rather have chocolate than crisps.

If I was having a 2 course meal, I'd have a starter and main, not dessert. But then I do love cake. But crisps, hello.

This makes sense evolutionarily: if you’re in danger, of whatever sort, the guys will have a greater focus on protein synthesis so they’re fitter to the end of ultimately gaining food whereas the girls will want to put on fat as energy stores so they’re more resistant to starvation.

Regulated mostly by stress, so it will vary by stress levels more than by sex.
