Have you ever had that moment after you say something where you think "wow, I'm hilarious, I could be a comedian"?

What was it you said?

I remember walking my eldest to school when he was 4 and he asked me how meat was made. I started off my explanation with "well first you slaughter an animal.."

The snort of laughter from another parent in the playground was just fabulous, and still makes me smile.

I'm sure you lovely people have better stories. So let's hear them

Somewhere In The Ether…

I like to tell myself that my sense of humour is so off the scale witty, that mere humans won’t get it…

I told my eldest daughter when she first started going out with boys that she needed to watch where she put her feet when dancing in a nightclub.

When she asked why I said so that she didn't stand on my toe.

I go by the truism that if you have to explain a joke you need a smarter audience

My son regularly reminds me that I'm about as funny as a dose of flu. I thoroughly enjoy sending him pun related jokes and memes because I know it makes him roll his eyes.

I do sometimes burst out laughing when trying to tell a story. I amuse myself no end. That's not that I'm inherently funny, it's just that my life is weirdly comedic so most of my stories reflect that.

I can't see me making a go of stand-up though. I'm too lazy to be on my feet for that length of time.

Can't keep up with my wise cracks, I personally think I'm hilarious on a daily basis.

Oh I'm under no elusion that I'm funny enough to be an actual comedian - I just enjoy making myself laugh. Which I do regularly Glad other people do the same

Not sure if I’m funny but I did spot an albino Dalmatian the other day, it was the least I could do…

I have at times laughed at myself to the point of tears. And then other people’s quizzical expressions just set me off even more!

I personally find that my dry northern piss taking is hilarious. The subjects often don’t

My son is often miffed that I’m more popular with his mates than he is because apparently I’m a legend. I’m gonna take that little win lol
