I like to go on IMDB and check the Parental Guide for a film. This often provides a detailed description of every sex or gory scene.
It lets me experience all the gore, horror and sex a film had to offer, in a controlled environment and in only a few minutes. |

It’s funny. I was all hyped up to see a midnight performance when I was 22, and it just didn’t have any effect on me at all. I decided that perhaps you have to be Catholic or believe in demons and possession to find it scary. |

Scum. The unedited version.
I stumbled across it on a boring afternoon, after I decided to alleviate the boredom by wandering into the nearest cinema.

You just keep expecting the camera to cut away and leave things to be implied but it doesn’t and you end up watching it in graphic detail and then feeling sick with yourself and wondering if the camera didn’t cut away, why didn’t you just look away or turn off? |

Martyrs - Try getting through that film.
Irreversible- The scene in the subway.
Midsommar - So good I watched it twice …in one evening.
Audition - Horrific, won’t ruin it for anyone but it’s a definite watch for anyone who fed up of the usual Hollywood output.
Now watching Saint Maude I believe this film can be quite good.

Naked Lunch: Blank-faced bug killer Bill Lee and his dead-eyed wife, Joan, like to get high on Bill's pest poisons while lounging with Beat poet pals. After meeting the devilish Dr. Benway, Bill gets a drug made from a centipede. Upon indulging, he accidentally kills Joan, takes orders from his typewriter-turned-cockroach, ends up in a constantly mutating Mediterranean city and learns that his hip friends have published his work -- which he doesn't remember writing.
Dogtooth: A controlling, manipulative father locks his three adult offspring in a state of perpetual childhood by keeping them prisoner within the sprawling family compound. The children are bored to tears in spite of distractions like Christina, an employee of their father's who makes regular visits to sexually service the son. Increasingly curious about the outside world, the older daughter hatches a plan to escape. |

I like films that you need to read a blog about afterwards to understand the plot . Interesting film, although mega frustrating. I just kept imagining how I would feel if that was my house! |

Once Were Warriors, a 1994 film about Maori life in modern New Zealand.
The violence looks so real, and to see a powerfully built man (The Mandalorian's excellent Temuera Morrison) attacking his wife in a fit of rage, punching and kicking her, his friends too frightened of his furious violent temper to stop him, is terrifying, and brings home to the viewer the real life horror of domestic abuse.
On a lighter note, definitely votes for Hereditary, Bone Tomahawk (WTF are those things in their throats?) and Kill List, a really disturbing film.

That's the one that's one big allegory of Christianity?

I refuse to watch A Serbian film partly because of the intellectual dishonesty involved in making a film that disgusting with a 'war allegory' excuse.

Specifically for me in the 15 million credits episode its the bit where runs out of credits and has to watch the girl he loved essentially used a sex object
I dont know how but people seem to think that Liam was the bad guy in "entire history of you". Not how i saw it tbh.
Think for me its because those episodes are somewhat more relatable, where as the "shut up and Dance" episode i think the twist was a little obvious and i obviously cant relate to being a peadophile lol

"A Serbian Film"
I read the plot on Wiki and feel traumatised just from reading it...don't think I could see it
Just read the scene from Irreversible too and feeling sick so I feel like most of these films are too scary for me! |

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact |
With A Serbian Film it is actually a well acted and well produced film. Technically it is very sound despite the nature of the film. I think that film pushed the limits of what depravity the human mind can manage. It was also creative compared to the relentless violence of August Underground etc making it the most disturbing film in my opinion. |

The hills have eyes the original one, the scene with the female soldiers and those horrific hilly Billy inbred monsters, man you can't ever unsee that shit..some of these movies should be outright illegal |

I've just read the plot, a Serbian film gets my vote, just please don't make me watch it |

"Another one I almost forgot; Salo: 180 Days Of Sodom.
That was a pretty grimy and unhappy watch."
Genuinally didn't make it to the end, simply because I was so bored |

"Society. One fucked up movie.
And then Japanese Takashi Miike movies, ishi the killer and gozu stick in my head. "
Ishi the killer - downright weird but also strangely hilarious |

A few mentioning Xtro. I don't remember it being that bad. Just boring.
Irreversible definitely although the fire extinguisher scene is way worse than the subway one.
Worst film is a horror called Seed, because it contains real life animal abuse content, which I couldn't watch. Also smashes a woman's head in with a hammer.
I'm with anyone on Watership Down too, I wouldn't make any kid watch that. |

Sinister is an all round unsettling film, or the ending of The Mist is pretty twisted

127 hours and Frozen (not the Disney one!), haven't seen Open Water yet. I expect the same from that one. |
