I started watching this in 1988 and have loved it ever since.

Any other fans here? My Dad thought I was heterosexual for a while as I was so obsessed with Bea Smith. Sorry Dad

Loads of early episodes have just been taken down recently. I hope they start showing it on TV again soon.

I never got round to watching it. I was a teenager when I watched the originals and had far more time to watch TV. Nowadays I'm lucky to catch my team in match if the day x

The cardboard walls made it. As did Meg, who looked like the woman who came to my primary school to sell us stationary namely the Berol Handwriting pen. REd with blue ink.

Who'd've thunked it, that The Freak would actually save a little boy's cbacon on the outside?

Vinegar Tits to the rescue! Could you Imagine Mum saying that throught the bars?

Speaking of Mum: I used to tease mine by asking if that's who she was named after. (Ducks a flying slipper, badly thrown) PMSL

The rechurn: Wentworth makes it look like another Aussie/Netflix carbon copy. Solid walls amkes a solid script not.

Americans don't have panto: they have WWF?WWE?WCW etc.

Australians don't have pantos either: they have Cell block!

I have vague recollections of recording it because it was on at midnight or later

And other than Lizzy scaring me, I cld occasionally recognise someone from neighbours.

I used to love neighbours, sons and daughters and The Sullivans. Australia know how take rubbish entertaining.

Prisoner was on effect my favourite programmes when I was young.

Wentworth is seriously worth a watch - the first 2 seasons are pretty much soft porn, but that's only part of its allure, it really is a good watch! The way they connected it to the original cell block H was fantastic and quite clever in parts.
