I'm wanting to take some new photos, but I feel like I've exhausted every suitable background in my house, to the point where all my pics are starting to look samey

Anyone have any ideas on how to temporarily jazz up a background?

But props, back drops from party shops could be used for parties

Out doors.

Different angles, use the floor, ceiling

In the woods on a sunny day. Ideal lighting and you can use leaves and branches for your naughty bits.

Experiment with different lighting.

You’d be amazed how much you can change the results and backgrounds of your pictures with simple lighting changes.

It is a very good point and important in telling your situation. It depends on the story you are telling. If it is about bed scenario - then the bedroom. If it is about outdoor sex, then outdoors. Derelict buildings are be good back drops giving a edgy illicit feel. If is a kitchen scene to show you ready anytime anywhere then a breakfast table can be fun. If it is about naturism then a beach is fab. Etc. Use your imagination and have fun. So yes. Backgrounds are important in enhancing your message.

Good luck

Stairs if you have them, one of our photos I placed a white sheet over an armchair. I can't say too much I tend to stand in front of a white wall, so mine are rather samey

Could download a template background app I expermented with it a little

But just felt it wasn’t right for my pics as mine are more about the out fit rather than the pose or background

I set it as a profile pic for a little while to show save you diging to see x

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

Go on & jump on a bed in a bed shop. Tell them you are looking for a new bed & need a picture for your decision making process...?

Buy a backdrop from Amazon? Dark one or ones with pics or scenery.

Ruin porn (old buildings) what did you think I meant? Really....

Look in YouTube for lighting effects.

Buy a projector & cast onto a wall?

Dramatic portraits using dark light.

Unusual locations in your house - darkened kitchen with glow of fridge light holding door open; get soaking wet in a bath with see through underwear on , wearing a dressing gown in garden taking out trash -allowing gown to open ; make it look like you are flashing at a window - check first no nosey neighbours : somebody else’s house ( make an appt with estate agent to view an empty property ) and take some discrete snaps when agent in another room ..

Ooh thank you for all the ideas everyone! Couple of suggestions for outdoors but unfortunately there's nowhere good/secluded around here plus it's bloody freezing!

Lighting is a good shout but just not sure about whether that would work logistically. My ceiling lights aren't on dimmers either. Maybe I could adjust lighting with filters after the photo is taken?

Not keen on using communal areas of the house either; feels a bit awkward...

I'm liking the idea of props though. Maybe something draped across the wall or flowers in the background. Hmm...

That’s a good idea plus…. Change the items in the background. Switch up the ones you already use with different mirrors etc

Extending clothes props come in handy for a few things.

Blocks spotlights out with an add on

dont worry they will be fine if they are leds or older halogen spotlights

Handy to stick a sheet over them and extend them up or sideways to cover a doorway.

An LED light in the background can also be an effective change in the mood/light.

Even if reflected off a white street as a backdrop. Add in a mirror and catch your reflection or that of a bed full of well placed toys may be?

Throws are also great. Different textures and colours can give different moods.

Pair of ladders with a miniskirt on knee high skirt dress.

Leg over banister or sat on the banister just balance right for that pic been taken.

Use a chair for better balance with more weight on the chair side.

Fake legs tied to the table or chair legs make sure legs are infront of the bars for that illusion but they are tied to your legs only

Bend over the table or chair your choice.

Also to get different effect of light, you can use various cut outs to creat shadow, by shining light through.

Your photos are great, love them.

We're also messing around with different backgrounds. We do like outdoor photos, wooded areas are great if a bit predictable. We took some photos in an abandoned shopping centre late at night which were our favourites, though had to be careful as it was in Glasgow's red light area!
