Who over indulged this Christmas?

With a lot of travelling up and down the country this Christmas I managed to avoid the usuals of over eating and drinking and feel so much better for it.
Other than a massive mixed grill one evening
I’m very much body focused moving into 2022 so I’m already feeling like a winner
Are you the same or was it a few days of over indulgence?
Are you looking for fight back or take the usual 12 months recovery time? |

Of course I indulged. I was sick. I had to self isolate but didn't lose my sense of taste so I comforted myself in all the good food I ordered and made and no regrets. Yes I am probably rounder but nothing what few weeks of consistent diet and workouts won't solve again. I've got this. It was worth it |

A few more days of resting, and back on it after the weekend "
Hell why not have a few more days of indulgence |

That sounds like an advert for an arty piece of BDSM
Very retrained this year. In fact provbably the first year I haven't put on weight - I just need to get back to the exercise to tone up. Happy days. |

I've not been too bad this year, well apart from the two starters I had Christmas day as I couldn't decide which to have and the massive steak meal and pudding earlier in the week
It's the financial hit that's draining me more |

I had a running break too. How is the return? My respiratory system took a hit for sure. I'm going to have a go on Friday and see how it goes. |

Christmas day all I had to eat was weetabix as was on nightshift. Yesterday was the first day I ate too much as was entertaining my family and bought too much food. I will enjoy the leftovers throughout this week then return to healthy eating. |

I have eaten my considerable body weight in mince pies and party snacks.
Yesterday was the first time I really drank though.
This evening I'm out for dinner and a couple of drinks, but otherwise all is now back to normal. |

I restarted running yesterday after a 5 week break. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but fitness has obviously dipped.
I am starting a new virtual challenge on 1st January to run 268 miles during the month. I did it last year and have put pressure on myself to achieve it again. Having said that I have also signed up for a marathon in March and so January's running will give me a great kick start for that training plan.... hopefully.
Do you have running goals for 2022?

Definitely prioritised quality over quantity this Christmas, and spread the goodies out over a few days rather than trying to cook / eat / drink everything on one day.
Nice to enjoy good food, wine, company without getting pissed, stuffed, bloated.
Still looking forward to a quiet jan / Feb and shifting a few lbs though |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
Not even a little bit of overindulgence here. Covid removed my appetite, ability to taste and mostn of my sense of smell. Plus made me sleep for approximately 39 hours a day for over a week.
But it wasn't as bad this time as the first time I had it. And I couldn't afford to buy exciting Christmas crap to eat anyway. So #winning |

I'm banishing the idea of over. I indulged yes. Enjoyed every second of it, the love of food is hardwired into every part of my mixed heritage. I'll be back to my lifestyle changes come the start of next week; I enjoy feeling and seeing the physical changes too much. Plus I'm craving fresh goodness - I went to M and S this morning to buy a heap of fruit. |

We were on a cruise with food and drink included so of course the over indulgence happened but not as bad as expected.
More alcohol than food as we aren’t big drinkers normally but the hot sun was forcing us to drink cocktails (they didn’t taste like they had alcohol in them either ).
Strict food intake in January, that we stuck to in September and October will help

I always let myself go with food and alcohol between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve as I spend all year exercising and toning. I still maintain exercise during that time just so that I don't lose natural fitness though |

I've eaten so much and enjoyed every mouthful.
I should stop but I'm off work until the 3rd.
I'll assess the damage at the end of January and then see what I'm going to do.
My body is not really a temple, more of a bouncy wonderland so while it's not ideal, I'm not in the right place to really dedicate myself to making the changes necessary to become a toned goddess |

I’m very basic literally half a bag of Kale - 700ml water keep pulsing if your blender has that function and blend for a couple of minutes and it’s a refreshing drink |

My status says how my Christmas is still going.
I feel if someone is looking for their child at a party, I might have eaten him if he was sat still for too long at the table. And if liquid is one of the heaviest things…. I’m pretty heavy right now.
But, eat drink and be merry right? |

Aside from 2 Christmas dinners on consecutive days and a traditional third today I’ve not bothered much with treats… I have a table full of chocolates and snacks and a kitchen stuffed with cakes and none of it interests me one bit. I’ll be force feeding others for months… |

Been really good and ate/drank as normal, I didn’t know why just didn't feel the need. Looking forward to upping the pace at the gym a little bit in 2022 and aiming to eat more superfoods and drink more water on a regular basis to keep super healthy |

I ate a large Christmas dinner but not much else that day. I've eaten chocolates and the odd turkey sandwich but not much else as I haven't had a big appetite, which is most unusual, I'm not complaining.

I didn't over indulge. I just enjoyed myself
It was great having a good appetite. I used to be able to eat 2+ portions of dinner, now I can barely finish 1. The past few days I've been going back for seconds and loved every moment of it.
