"A human being born with two X chromosomes
Oh jeez, going back to the chromosomes huh
Biology 101"
If you say Female I can accept that, woman.. well that’s a bit broader term nowadays. And chromosome speaking, there are variations that don’t fall into the XY OR XX characteristic.
So what are they exactly??!! As there are different combinations.
I am a woman and my chromosomes say otherwise (tho let me say, I never tested them so I’m just going on assumption on how they assigned me at birth) |

The only correct answer, in 2022, as I understand it, is anyone who says they’re one.
So that’s my answer, and as I don’t wish to be cancelled, I’m sticking to it |

"I think the standard definition is “adult human female”? "
Yes, deeply unfashionable though it is to say so people like me can only actually be honorary/imitation women, much as I would like to be a real woman, and I am lucky enough to have women friends who are kind enough to treat me as a woman. |

"Usually someone who slaps me round the face in a bar
According to Edward Hitler, you should always keep your mouth open when insulting one in a bar, because you might get a free drink."
Hitler? Any relation? |

Thank you; I do indeed. I am really lucky to have 4 or 5 women friends who have only ever known me as Lucy; they are lovely and I am very happy as Lucy largely because of their support and friendship, and crucially of course that of my wife, who strange as it may be (and certainly unusually) is happy with me as Lucy. We actually get on much better and are far happier now than we have been for many years.
I don't pretend that I am or could ever be a real woman, even if I could get surgically and biochemically altered to resemble one, which my age and ill health would make impossible, but I am touched and extraordinarily happy to be treated as an honorary woman, and women in particular have been very kind and accepting of me, but I have no right (or wish) to make demands that effect real women and find the shrill and vicious aggressive behaviour of 'transactivists' repulsive, and believe them to be unrepresentative of the majority of transgender people, and actually counter-productive. |
