New one I learnt yesterday. When something is moving it is travelling slower in time than something that is stationary

A funky thing about this is that, from the travelling object's point of view, YOU will appear to be travelling more slowly through time

the earth takes 23hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds to complete a full revolution.

for the sun to appear in exactly the same spot in the sky from day to day you have to add on approximatly 4 minutes each day due to the earth's orbit around the sun (approximatly 1' of rotation)(can vary by +/- 14 minutes/day but the average over the year is +4 minutes).

The moon's affect on the earth through the tides acts as a break on the earth's rotation causing it to slow hence the need for the occasional leap second. (this is added on june 30th or december 31st) i its decemner 31st then the last minute o the day has 61 seconds

On that topic, there is still slight 'webbing' at the bottom and between our fingers from the time we were aquatic.
