Battered scallops, chicken shawarma, 5 grain crumpets - all stuff I pick up whenever I can!
This morning I also picked up a Christmas layered pie - turkey, stuffing, cranberry. Looking forward to trying that because it looks gorgeous!
They also had a tiny French cheeseboard for one person. Stupidly overpriced but I was feeling sorry for myself so it's in my fridge. |

"It really is better food than anywhere else! Anyone tried the panna cotta? omg it's heaven! Not to mention the katsu chicken. Any recommendations? "
Ahhh but have you tried Aldi's Canna Potta? It's like the M&S one, but not |

I’ll say one thing which M&S do fail miserably at in the food department: Their sausage rolls are bloody awful in my opinion.
I mean really, sweet Jesus! - They are decidedly heinous! (and taste like anus!) |

The santini salad. Delicious.
Chicken shawarma, can't remember the name of the range but it's amazing.
Very berry cheesecake.
Their dipping cheese fondue thing they release around Christmas. Heaven.
The San Francisco sourdough bread.
Their small bottles of sparkling water.
Milk bottle sweets.
Jam roly poly.
They do this amazing garlic bread using sourdough that's not sold, it's in a separate freezer section. Love it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Teacakes, for toasting
Sultana biscuits
Prune yoghurt (although, hardly ever available)
Chicken Kiev
Nutty Super Wholefood Salad
And, I agree about the Chocolate Rounds
Knickers, leggings and trousers (because they do short).
Almost everything else, I'm happy with Waitrose.
Aldi is best for Organic Prosecco. Delicious, no hangover and only £7.49.

M&S San Francisco sourdough was my favourite but I prefer the Sainsbury's one now.
I don't have a separate freezer section in my local M&S. I feel cheated.

The fruit
The gastro scotch eggs
The fresh cream Victoria sponge
And not sure if it’s sold everywhere but just discovered this huge garlic loaf which apparently they make with excess crusty bread it’s in a little freezer by its self |

You don't? You've been properly cheated there. I've not had the Sainsbury's sourdough, going to have a look for it this weekend.
Waitrose have sent out their money off vouchers so I'm looking forward to finding all the deliciousness there. |

I haven't opened my Waitrose envelope yet. I'm actually hoping for the £2.50 off my Method washing liquid.
I'm going to try an M&S further afield to see if they have freezer full of garlic bread.
Lidl has a very cheap sourdough boule, but I don't think it's a San Francisco starter.

The Sainsbury’s taste the difference sourdough is delicious! "
When it gets a little stale it makes the best eggy bread. The edges taste deliciously salty.

"My cousin works at M&S and brings me loads of stuff from there. Everything I have had from there has been nice but I wouldn’t go there to actually buy it " Some of it is nice! It's quite overpriced just because it's a label, Well other supermarkets just as good for most things. |

Meli, how did you not message me to tell me there was a thread I belonged in
Friday night for me is Marks and Waitrose.
They do a really delicious Hampshire tomahawk pork chop that I would highly recommend to any of the meat eaters in the thread. |

I used to love their packs of 3 coffee walnut whips, and the little pork pies that had garlicky mushroom pate centres, and their salad nicoise, not sure they do them now though.
Their festive crisps tend to be yummy like the port and stilton ones I got last year. |

"I'd argue waitrose has just a slight edge on m&s "
Much more choice than most M&S - but on a like for like i think M&S is a notch above Waitrose on most things. Bloody should be for the price! Ocado bill’s gone way up since they switched! |

Ahhhh but does Jamie Hants wear M&S pants "
Oh I am currently wearing some now!
These aren’t just any pants, these are M&S pants.
The Jamie Hants range exclusively for M&S. |

A lot of their cakes are made at a place called Park Cake Bakery in Oldham
They have a factory shop
It is ridiculously cheap
10 M&S Swiss Rolls for £1
A bin liner full of Rocky Road offcuts or mini rolls £3
Large fresh cream cakes 50p
Not been since before lockdown, but it used to be a regular haunt when I worked nearby |
