After I’d been to Greece I was telling a friend that the food didn’t agree with me.

They asked if I’d visited the Acropolis.

Visit the acropolis I replied, I was never off it.

"Nana Mouskouri.

Nana has a truly beautiful voice.

Her probably most famous song, ‘Only Love’, as was used in the TV mini series, Mistral’s Daughter showcased her talent perfectly

"Half a George Michael"

His dad was from Cyprus. Although they are Greek Cypriots, Greeks do not look on them as Greek. When were on Kalymnos, one of the guys that ran the bar at our apartment block asked if we'd been to Greece before. When I said no, but we've been to Cyprus, he mumbled something which I managed to translate as "They're not Greeks, they're Cypriots!"

Does that mean there might still be hope that we will return the Parthenon marbles (often known by their misnomer as Elgin marbles) back to their rightful place despite the diversion tactics of the government.

The Greek government have asked for them back

Yes I do know but our government seems to be passing the buck rather than doing the right thing and return, or at least enter in meaningful dialogue. Which incidently is also what most of the public want as have indicated in numerous surveys over time. Hopefully one day they will reconsider.

I am very sorry but you have the historical facts all wrong. They never sold them as they were occupied by the Turks at the time so not sure what was the basis of the comment
