Rafiq's emotional and shocking testimony continued as he fought back tears and told the committee about the loss of his baby son.

"They weren't really bothered that I was training one day and I got a phone call to say that there was no heartbeat," he said, adding how Martyn Moxon, the current director of cricket at Yorkshire, "got me in a room and literally ripped shreds off me" on his first day back.

He said: "I carried my son from the hospital to the graveyard. The way I was treated was not right."

Yeah I’ve followed parts of it and it’s truly shocking. No surprise half the Yorkshire CCC board stepped down, particularly after their initial response to the investigation and findings.

An utterly deplorable, disgusting and heartless incident.

It's appalling and disgusting.

I've been following with story since Rafiq started speaking out. His treatment and the way Yorkshire have dealt with it has been terrible. I'm embarrassed to support them

Some heartless cunts in management. No one has the right to lay into you over a loss especially of a child.

A gentleman’s sport has today become not so gentlemanly ….. it definitely needs putting back in the box pretty soon! Although I think Yorkshire county cricket club will take years to rebuild trust and confidence

Even a tearful spouse wouldn't do that, as grief can do horrible things to loving parents.

I thought cricket was a gentlemanly game. I was wrong.

Silently swept under the carpet

.

I was met with EDL chants one morning coming into work as I got in. The manager looked and let it all go on..

Very unfunny race humans.

Rotten hearts & minds breed ugliness head 2 toe. No matter what privileged many assume they have over other's

The problem might be who should take over from the sacked members. I suspect this is not just Yorkshire. It might not even be just cricket. This same kind of stuff is everywhere in the UK.

Indeed. The lack of Asian and Black players in the professional game speaks for itself, particularly when you consider what a large proportion Asian players make up of recreational players

I was listening to it this morning.. and no one organisation came out out it looking good… Yorkshire, the ECB, and most interestingly the PCA, all have things to answer for…

The lack of support from and then the hand washing of the PCA was incredible..

Remember it was only a few years ago that you couldn’t play for Yorkshire unless you were born in the county….

So does it surprise that Yorkshire were so slow on the uptake

How many white players in the teams in India, Pakistan, Windies and all the other minor nations?

There is no racism in cricket or football or any other sport, not sure why these kind of titles are given to these incidents.

There is racism in society. Full stop. Thats it. That racism then leaks into everything else, for some reason people seem to get up in arms at 'racism in sport' and ignore were it all comes from.

The PM has made racist remarks over the years and Still got the top job in the country. What else needs to be said ffs

A horrific environment. To think so many people sat back and did nothing, shameful behaviour. Cricket is the least surprising sport to see this in though.

Does anybody think this is an older generation thing - say above 60 or is it throughout the age groups - down to 20s?

Most of the racist comments came from the players. The management just sat back and did nothing.

As heartbreaking as it is to hear, massive respect to Rafiq for standing his ground and not letting it be swept under the rug. To take on one of English cricket's biggest institutions is admirable and can really see the floodgates opening for calling out this kind of behaviour from all counties.

It hurts to hear now because I love cricket but it's necessary for the sport's future

And all the d*unk group made racist comments & remarks coming onto the train in London. Towards an Indian passenger, then all started on those guy girls. Chatting.

" oh we bet they took it all standing up,laying down etc. "

Referring to Sex! All on camera recorded and posted on FB.

The whole cricket thing is so sad because my understanding is that everybody played in white as a leveller i.e., race and class were put aside for the game.
