Wirral

Some (but not all) cats. Discovered on a first night with a bloke who had two house cats, when my eyes swelled shut and I was wheezing my head off.

It wasn't the impression I'd have chosen to make, but I'm sure he still remembers the night.

In The Hills

Where to start..

I have Anaphylaxis to a certain medication. I then have a number of severe allergies causing face/eyes/lips swelling which I end up having steroids and antibiotics for when needed. And then a few less minor that cause skin blotches rashes etc where I just take fexofenadine for them. They range from tree sap to waterbased products to perfume, even some spices etc.

It only came on around 8 years ago out of the blue. It took a while to get it all under control and on a whole I can manage it day to day but then when I least expect it a massive reaction happens all over again.

But touch wood they are getting less frequent now

It’s not all but two of my family are. I don’t do well with the alternative antibiotics either, but it’s less of a severe reaction and more manageable. Good job I don’t get sick much

Can you ask your folks ? It’s good to know what happens, just in case.

I say this as once had a GP give me penicillin even though I’d told him I was allergic (plus on my records) and what happens. He thought I might have grown out of it, was his explanation when I was back there 30 minutes later

I have hypersensitivity, luckily nothing too severe. But everything from certain washing powders, people's perfumes is an annoying one, black pepper, insect bites to a normal injury.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

Yes, fuck loads!

I had a grass test once & the person doing the sensitivity test put too much grass extract from the Pipette, wich in seconds blew up like a Arnold Scwarzeneger massive vain on my arm.

The solution ran from above the elbow to my wrist. She replied: "oh dear that is bad!" No shit, yer think?

Within hours my arm went very pink piggy red and stated to move up towards my shoulder. I had to take a few anti-histamines & was scratching all the day at work..... Not nice!!!

I broke out in a full body rash when I had it as a kid. Was told it could get progressively worse, so not to take it again.
